Center Pieces... HELP?!?!?

I have hit a dead end in ideas for center pieces for our wedding reception.  We have 40 tables to start so minimal expense is desired.  I'd like to try to stay away from using flowers just because I'm already having so much trouble finding flowers for the Ceremony as it is!  I don't mind something simple or DIY whatever I just need ideas.  One Idea I have is to do 1 childhood picture of each of us on each table but that doesn't seem to be enough and people I have mentioned it to don't seem to like the idea.  I need help any suggestions would be greatly  appreciated!!!  Oh and if it helps for you to know the wedding is August 28, in Wheatland Wyoming so pretty warm it will be indoors but it's a huge building and if I remember right the air-conditioning doesn't work really well Embarassed, and also our colors are sage green and chocolate brown.

You could do a photo tree at each table--with those branches that seem to be so popular now--and hang multiple photos of you guys, and places you've been, etc.

That's all I've got for now.

Glad to find another real Wyoming bride--I'm getting married in Cheyenne!

Why don't you have different candles in your colors in clear vases filled with your color stones?

Agreed!  Us real Wyoming brides are hard to come by it seems! :)

    Nicole:

I'm not sure how "western" you want to get, but a cheap and plentiful idea as one of your colors is sage green is sage brush.  Growning up here, I personlly love the smell of it; but I know not everyone does.  1$ store glass vases (short, so people can see over them) and there you go... add a chocolate brown ribbon along the outside...  easy cheap and max cost is $50-60 (depending on how many vases and how much ribbon.)

All I got for now!  I'm still wondering about mine but I have alot more time then you!

Love, love, love the idea of using sage brush, but if you're not from here and aren't used to it, two bits of advice. 1) Fill a few vases and have it sitting in your house for a few days and make sure it's ok for you, scent-wise, and 2) make sure you knock all the ants off when you collect it! They love to hang out in the stems!
