So I took this holiday season as an opportunity to ask a few wonderful women in my life to be my bridesmaids.
After looking at our venue, we had lunch in Geyersville- and I asked my beautiful sister to be part of our bridal party.

I also asked a girlfriend, Erin, that I've known since middle school. She is the glue that holds all my high school girlfriends together. All my high school girlfriends still keep in touch. Erin is on the top left in the magenta.

We also asked Erin's husband, Scott, to be a groomsman. Erin and Scott were high school sweethearts. We were all very close in school:

I also asked my Maid of Honor this Christmas. Although I haven't known my MOH long- we have been pretty inseparable since we met...despite being over 2,000 miles apart. Months ago she sent me a facebook message that said the following:
"I just wanted to check in on you after your post on NEY the other day about being in the valley. I feel like we are kindred spirits (OMG that totally makes me think of Anne of Green Gables...did you read AOGG when you were younger?)"
As you may have already guessed- My Maid of Honor is...LIV!

I wrote her a poem on the inside of a copy of Anne of Green Gables- and bookmarked the following quote with a necklace:
"A bosom friend--an intimate friend, you know--a really
kindred spirit to whom I can confide my inmost soul. I've
dreamed of meeting her all my life. I never really supposed
I would, but so many of my loveliest dreams have come true
all at once that perhaps this one will, too."
I think that quote sums up my life at the moment- and how I feel about Liv.
The necklace says:
"A True Friend Is Someone Who Knows the Song In Your Heart And Can Sing It Back To You When You Have Forgotten The Words"

When I first discovered this board and learned about the OG and how some of them became so close, I thought..."that would really be lovely to meet some wonderful friends on this board." However- this has far surpassed my wildest dreams! I'm so very happy.
My bridal party represents family, old friends, and new friends.
Yay!
