    1) What meal are you most looking forward to this week?Probably the turkey chili I plan to make tomorrow night, or the fried eggplant with tomato and fresh mozzarella that I plan to talk my mom into letting me make at her house Friday night. BF thinks he hates eggplant so I only get to make it with other people :)

    2) What is one activity/hobby you've always wanted to try?I want to learn how to sew on a sewing machine - namely clothes, but any sewing projects will do. I want to steal my mom's sewing machine soon and just go nuts.

    3) Do you sometimes feel a little down in the winter?Yes, because it's dark and cold so much of the time. I've seriously considered asking my doctor if it is possible if I have SAD, but I think it's natural to feel a little blue sometimes in the winter.

    4) Is anything stressing you out today/lately?I randomly got worried this morning that I didn't pay my excise tax last year. Also, I want to start a budget with BF to control our spending a bit better, but that seems like a big project.

    5) What things are you most looking forward to in the next couple of months? So many things!! First, a Boston NEY GTG next week!! So super pumped to meet Liv, Cde and Shoes!!

Also, my bestie moving 15 minutes away from me, my birthday, Valentine's Day, my two days off during February vacation, my bestie's birthday/housewarming party, my sister's birthday, St. Patrick's day (I'm a St. Patty's day NUT), and my 3 year anniversary with BF - all of this before the end of March!

    6) What is your favorite movie villain (actor specific)?Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook (Peter Pan) and Alan Rickman as Elliot Marston (Quigley Down Under) - really Alan Rickman in any of his villain roles. Those two make bad look gooood.

    7) What movies do you love that people might not expect?I'm a big fan of "guy" movies. Pulp Fiction and Inglourius Basterds are two of my all-time favorite movies. Along with Boondock Saints, Snatch, The Usual Suspects, The Departed, Twelve Monkeys, Die Hard, Fight Club, Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse Now, Bourne Identity, Predator, Terminator, Matrix, 300, Se7en, I could go on and on. I recently saw Warrior and LOVED it. That doesn't even touch the crass guy humor movies that I'm obsessed with.

    8) What excercise activity are you interested in trying?I REALLY want to get Just Dance 3 for Kinect - which means I would need to get the Kinect for BF's Xbox. I think I may get this for myself soon. It looks super fun, and I kick ass at Just Dance 2 on my sister's Wii :)

    9) What's at the top of your wish-list right now?iPhone, which I will be getting soon. Also a new camera.

    10) What movie/show never fails to cheer you up when you are sick or blue? Sixteen Candles and She's the Man for movies. Friends and How I Met Your Mother for shows.

    11) What random old fads (recent or much older) do you miss?Mine's really recent, but I miss Bumper Stickers on FB - not the sad, creepy emo ones, just the funny and inappropriate ones.

Going to Puerto Rico in March

    7) What movies do you love that people might not expect?

    8) What excercise activity are you interested in trying?

    Zumba

  • 1) What meal are you most looking forward to this week?

I'm hoping to go to Applebee's with my best girlfriend this weekend and using a gift card my uncle got me for Christmas. :) Applebee's has always been our go-to place for drinks and girly time.

    2) What is one activity/hobby you've always wanted to try?

I've always wanted to go skydiving, which is really funny, because I'm terrified of heights, and I hate riding any sort of "free-fall" ride at amusement parks. I have been hang-gliding before, though, and I loved it. Wasn't scary at all. :)

    3) Do you feel a little down in the winter?

Yes, but only because I hate, hate, HATE cold weather.

    4) Is anything stressing you out today/lately?

I have a lot of wedding stuff that still needs to be fleshed out, but I hate calling people (aka, vendors), but with only a little over 3 months to go, I need to get my butt in gear.

Getting married, moving across the country, and basically getting an opportunity to start over, go back to college, all that good stuff. :)

I love Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Just her voice and mannerisms are hilarious.

    7) What movies do you love that people might not expect?

I love the Child's Play movies, which is really unexpected for me, because I generally detested horror movies up until about last year when a good friend introduced me to some. Scary movies I like, gory movies I do not.

    8) What excercise activity are you interested in trying?

I would love to start usuing JD3 regularly, but it's a bit too expensive for my taste.

    9) What's at the top of your wish-list right now?

More days off, lol. But more importantly, getting to spend some of my days off with friends. Our schedules always seem to miss each other. :(

    10) What movie/show never fails to cheer you up when you are sick or blue?

    Tangled.

    11) What random old fads (recent or much older) do you miss?

I miss old-school Myspace, back when it was simple. Back before Facebook, when you could add music and all sorts of personalized shite to your profile.

  • 1) What meal are you most looking forward to this week? We're going to look at cars this weekend with my Daddy, so we're going to have lunch at a Mongolian grill down in the town where I grew up, om nom nom.

    2) What is one activity/hobby you've always wanted to try? I usually just go ahead and try whatever I want to...

    3) Do you feel a little down in the winter? Ugh, yes, but only if we don't get any snow. If it's snowing, I'm happy, but if it's just cold and dreary, I'm sad.

    4) Is anything stressing you out today/lately? Nothing right now. That may change, however.

    5) What things are you most looking forward to in the next couple of months? We should be going on vacation within the next few months. We were planning to go to New England in March, but Tyler's put off any travel plans until we know about his schedule with his pending promotion.

    6) What is your favorite villain in a movie (actor specific)? I'll always be a fan of Jackson Rippner in Red Eye. Cillian Murphy is terrifying.

    7) What movies do you love that people might not expect? I'm a very odd person, so no movie I like is odd to anyone.

    8) What exercise activity are you interested in trying? idk. I'm boring when it comes to exercise.

    9) What's at the top of your wish-list right now? TRAVEL. But something easier to obtain is the thing we got for Tyler's dad for Christmas: a stand that makes your bike a stationary bike. I want one of those really badly.

    10) What movie/show never fails to cheer you up when you are sick or blue?  The Fall. The colors soothe my mind.

    11) What random old fads (recent or much older) do you miss? I really liked the Bennington fad of wearing skirts with jeans during the winter. I think people would stare if I did that now... or here.

  • 1) What meal are you most looking forward to this week? I'm making Cajun red beans & rice this week. I've made it one before, but it takes forever to make (7 hours in the crock pot + at least 1 hour of prep). So I'm going to save it for the weekend when I have ample time. 2) What is one activity/hobby you've always wanted to try? Roller derby. But I'm way too chicken. I actually live very close to where a very popular NJRD team does battle. 3) Do you feel a little down in the winter? I do. It's called seasonal affect disorder. It's when you feel depressed because of the change in weather. 4) Is anything stressing you out today/lately? Not particularly, except my job hunt. 5) What things are you most looking forward to in the next couple of months? Possible employment? Consequently, if I am able to get a job soon, we will be moving and then proceed with wedding planning (maybe). 6) What is your favorite villain in a movie (actor specific)? Christoph Waltz as Col. Hans "the Jew Hunter" Landa of the S.S. in perhaps one of my favorite movies of all times, "Inglourious Basterds". He plays crazy so well and his character is just...so....evil! He won an Oscar for that role. 7) What movies do you love that people might not expect? People don't expect me to be a fan of Kevin Smith's ("Clerks", "Dogma") or Quinten Tarantino's ("Kill Bill", "Pulp Fiction") films, mostly because of the crude humor and violence. 8) What excercise activity are you interested in trying? I have never done zumba, but I hear it's fun. 9) What's at the top of your wish-list right now? Employment. Winning the lottery would be a close second. 10) What movie/show never fails to cheer you up when you are sick or blue? "Whip It", "The House Bunny" and "Dreamgirls" are my favorite cheer up movies because the underdog wins. I'm a sucker for that type of movie. 11) What random old fads (recent or much older) do you miss? I actually thought Tomagotchis were totally fun! :)

    Anniversary

  • 1) What meal are you most looking forward to this week? Tonight's meal! I've already eaten it though, does that count? BF bought some ribeyes from the local butcher and BBQ'ed even though it's January. It's usually friggidy arse cold (-25isn C or -15ish F) this time of year, if not colder. For awhile one January it felt like -67 F with the wind chill. All week though it's been above freezing. So BF decided to BBQ. More like I asked him if he would and he said yes. I also made tri-colour mini garlic and dill roast potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was mega yum.
    2) What is one activity/hobby you've always wanted to try? Learning a 3rd language
    3) Do you feel a little down in the winter? Yes!
    4) Is anything stressing you out today/lately? Do you want that alphabetically? Work is a little stressful right now, and a big announcement came out today that could make work even more stressful (or it could make things better). I'm also a little stressed about school. BF has offered to do like 90% of the housework for the next little while to make things less stressful on me though. I love my BF :). Also, the conversation my bf and I had the other day about some concerns he has about our relationship.
    5) What things are you most looking forward to in the next couple of months? Spa date with my BF (we go fo a couples massage at a high end spa every year for Valentine's day). The ballet with my BF and our Moms. We bough them tickets to see Royal Winnipeg Ballet's "Giselle" for Christmas. There's not all that much exciting going on over the next little while. Onh actually, I may be looking forward to my tax return as well. I usually get a ton of money back because of all my unused student tax credits. I may have to file jointly with BF though because we may be considered common law according to the Canadian government. Unfortunately that would put our household income at a level where I wouldn't be eligible for a lot of the tax refunds I used to be eligible for as a low income single person. It's so wrong that I'm looking forward to tax season. I need to get a life!
    6) What is your favorite villain in a movie (actor specific)? I have no idea
    7) What movies do you love that people might not expect? All the movies I love are pretty unexpected. I love romance movies.
    8) What exercise activity are you interested in trying? I hate exercise so none.
    9) What's at the top of your wish-list right now? A big fat raise and cushy promotion.
    10) What movie/show never fails to cheer you up when you are sick or blue? Oddly enough, anything that gives me a good cry. I find that if I have a really good cry, then immediately go to bed, I wake up the next day and feel so much better!
    11) What random old fads (recent or much older) do you miss? Pale skin. Maybe I'm biased because I can't tan (if I don't wear butt loads of sunblock, I burn, but have to wear so much sun block I don't get a tan. Tanning beds give me a rash, and I think that spray tans make people look orange). But I've also seen way too many orange people lately and I think it's gross. I honest to god saw someone today who was more orange than Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars when her friend changes the tanning spray to blood orange. It was gross. If pale skin was in I wouldn't have to see that.
