A forum, be it wedding or not, is not "supposed" to be anything other than what the board dynamic ends up being, usually established by the regs. On this board that dynamic is very blunt and sometimes snarky responses. Expecting that to change just because you made a post about it is like joining a book club that's been running for ten years and saying, "Hey, I think we should change everything you've ever done here" after a week of being in the club. Like I said in an earlier post, it does nothing more than make us roll our eyes and advise you to leave if you don't like it. And that's coming from one of the least snarky women here.

This does not mean that you are forbidden from expressing differing opinions or even saying that you think someone is being too harsh. I have done so. However, you have to understand that this is how the board works, and has always worked, and is not likely to change a great deal. Posts like this one from Narwhal (and other posters) are things that have happened since before I came here, and are not meant to stir drama but dispell tensions among the regs by poking fun at BSC posts in a dramatic way (hence the caps).

And I'll tell you now, if you think this is bad, you had better be happy you weren't here just a few months ago.

Now, because I think Loopy would rather not have to go around closing discussions, I suggest we all marvel at boob cat (AKA: Firefox Cat).

Bren, I understood what you meant. My issue is that I am not one that posts alot because I try to stay out of posts that don't go anywhere. So when you say I should stop posting because I keep things going, I want to clarify that I do not because I do not post much unless I feel I have something worth adding.

I agree with you, bakes. This is a message board, nobody can control how long people keep posting (unless a discussion is closed). But then anybody else responding to this whose response you didn't like also wasn't keeping things going. You can comment all you want and however you like- but being condescending doesn't add anything to your point.

Beth, I agree, the monkey thread was hilarious! It had a slightly different spin to it than your regular run-of-the-mill thread like this one (poking fun at ridonculous people), and it might have made my day. Don't worry about it Musik.

Desert, I agree. We should all get along. There's been a lot of arguing lately (some is good and healthy, but only to a point) - I think it's the weather. It's cold, and there's not much day light. Makes people crabby.
