Evening thread

Who is here?  I want to talk.

This is how I feel about my life right now:

How do you feel about life?  And plans for the weekend?  How do you get over wednesday?

Re: Evening thread

  • Hey Ray, I'm working on WR stuff, mainly trying to figure out a must invite and would like to invite guest list. Having a hard time drawing a line, and it is stressing me out a bit. Aside from this, and it seeming like I'm going to have to find another venue, I feel pretty okay about life right now. It is crunch time at work, but come June1st I am off for the summer, so that is keeping me going at the moment.

No real plans for the weekend, but I am going to see about checking out a venue in the morning on Saturday, then probably just going to stay home and relax. I haven't really been in the mood to do much of anything lately. Maybe do some yard work if I feel up to it.

I get over my Wednesday by reminding myself that there are only 2 days left in the work week and then I get a whole 2 days off. Friday nights are probably my favorite night of the week.

Sorry you feel so rotten, but the picture you posted made me lol.

  • Do you have a budget yet?  I found it helpful to get rid of guests based on budget.

That is a good way to get over wednesday.  I thought I didn't have anymoe homework due come wednesday but I was wrong.  I do.  So I am avoiding it for a few hours lol.  Plus I have two wedding presents at home for me!  YAYA!  I wonder what they are!  One of them is big!

Oops sorry was reading other posts!

Yeah we have a budget set, and are in the process of deciding how much we will spend on each part of the wedding. We have the large things planned out, like no more than X for venue, but haven't settled on budget for food and drinks, mainly because we're trying to decide how many guests we want to invite. Originally I had wanted a smaller number of guests, but when I actually started looking at who all I wanted to come, plus +1s and families of those people, the number got pretty high, and I'm looking at 125-150 folks. My mom wants me to invite a lot more, but she said most of those people wouldn't come... however, I'm not sure I want to bet on people invited not showing up, and not budgeting enough to feed them all.

I could probably talk your ears off about budget this and budget that. I have so many what-ifs right now, I am very glad the wedding is over a year away. A lot of this is just between FI and myself (plus our parents, because we wanted to know if they had any particular people they thought we should invite) so it really is just the brainstorm process, but not being able to tie everything up in a nice bow is really chipping away at me.

Ouch, sorry about the homework problem. That really stinks. When is it due? I use to hate when I thought I was all caught up, and then came to find out that I stilll had more work to do.

Oh and YAY for big presents!

<div>Not much.  I've got broccoli and red peppers for sure, a bit of sundried tomatoes, leftover pasta from last night (spinach and cheese ravioli, yum).  I know I've got potatoes too.  I'm thinking I'll do some kind of combination of those with chicken.</div>

You are totally awesome. (Plus you're watching Ghost Hunters, and that just adds to your awesomeness.)

FI and I didn't really know exactly when we started dating, it was night time, so it could have been 11:30 or it could have been after 12:00, so for our first year we both just kind of picked a day and went with it. LOL.

  • Oooh my proud moment of the day is that I've started actually working out (Turbo Jam, I did it with my roommate in school) every day.  I haven't been doing it long, but I'm really determined to keep at it.  I really need to go buy a scale so I can actually track my progress.

I was tired of seeing all the threads about how awesome everyone else is at working out and me just sitting around.  Especially since I'm still unemployed.  So yaaaaay healthier me!

Oh it's a take home history test and it's due in one hour.  But I am all done.  I just need to print it.   The other homework is due willy nilly.  I don't want to think about it lol.

</div><div>We have done a few of the Ghost Tours, also at The Stanley. The first one we went on was awesome, the guide did a great job and we got to go into room 217, which is supposedly the one Stephen King stayed in. The second one was kind of disappointing.</div>

prbright- I've wanted to go there so so so badly. I've wanted to go to any location they've done, but I haven't gotten to yet... unless they've done the Driskell Hotel in Austin. That place is pretty cool, went on a Ghost Tour in Austin a few years back in college.

Oh my god, Stillwell, that picture is EPIC.<div>
</div><div>So my thread about having a male friend and feeling trapped at home and so on? I swear BF must have seen it because he came home and, out of the blue, addressed every issue I brought up in that thread. What the eff? I KNOW he didn't see it, but it was so weird. Maybe he'd been thinking about that stuff all day and just decided to spew when he got home. </div><div>
</div><div>Anyway, it was pretty awesome, and I feel a lot better now. He did apologize that he never wants to go anywhere or do anything, and he feels bad that it kind of holds me back. He said, "I don't want you to feel chained to your recliner. Go. Go out and do stuff. Run it by me, and I'll give it the Olympic score card, and if it's less than 7, I'll stay home." Heh.</div><div>
</div><div>He also brought me some apples and yogurt because he knew I was craving it. Then, he started looking up upcoming concerts and stuff that we could go to. So yeah, things are better now.</div>
  • Melmac, I've never experienced anything weird ey so I am most likely just being dramatic. Lol I haven't slept in the apartment alone yet either. FI is going out of town next weekend so it will be my first weekend alone.

Melizabeth- Is Chernobyle a real place? Uhm yeah, no I would never in a million years even venture there.
