MOH & BM go....

I always thought that the Maid of Honor and Best Man go out last right before the bride enters the ceremony aisle... my MOH thought she goes first. What's right? Does it matter? I was going to let her decide.

    It doesn't really matter.

In general, it's usually first the parents/grandparents, then the bridesmaids/groomsmen, then the MOH, then the ring bearer, then the flower girl, then the bride (alone or escorted by whomever).
But there is no rule or etiquette "law" that states this is the right or wrong way to do it.

  • traditionally MOH   goes out right before the bride, therefore double checking her gown and veil.

The Maid of Honor goes out last right before the bride, that's what I did in my sister's wedding. Made sure everything was ok with her before walking down the aisle. The best man was already standing at the alter with her now husband, he doesn't usually walk down the aisle.
  • Great! Thanks everyone.
