I'm gonna go there...  I wish to win the lottery.

I know money can't buy happiness, blah blah blah, but a sudden windfall would not exactly hurt me right now.

I like Elle's and hannah's thoughts. I mean, with all that money, you could help yourself, splurge on that pair of Louboutins, have your dream wedding, sure. But you could also donate to charities, help the homeless and those who are starving, give your parents money to retire, and more.

If it wasn't money, I'd wish I had the perfect ballet body, naturally, with a high metabolism. 'Cause then I'd be in a ballet company right now.

I would wish for more self-control. Does that seem really dumb? I feel like it could help me out a lot in life. It's a selfish wish though.

This is a great wish. Can I wish the same thing?

I like this wish because it would allow me to take care of my family, FI's family, no have to worry about money ever again and donate as much as we want to all the charities we want.

I would wish that M will find a job without any trouble, and it would be the job he really wants in the town he really wants. It really sucks not knowing if he's going to be able to find a job right after he graduates college this May. Especially with the shitty economy. His close friend is in the same career M is, and he graduated in November and still hasn't found a job yet.

We're praying M gets the job he's been wanting, applying, and bugging them about but if he won't find out until May-ish, and if he doesn't get the job he'll have to go wherever he can get a job. Which may mean another year or so of long distance and possibly living in a crappy tiny town. I can handle it if it comes down to that, but we're praying it won't.

I really like Hannah's idea.  Again because of the ability to donate, pay off student loans, take care of our families, dream wedding...FI would be able to write and not work, and I could get my PhD and teach and never worry about not having research money.

My non-materialistic wish is a cure for Celiac Disease.  But before there can be a cure, people need to know what it is, and what it affects.  If another redneck looks at me when I say I can't have gluten and they say "there's no sugar in *insert food item here*" I might hurt someone.  Gluten is not equal to glucose.

For me to wish for HP to be real, I would first have to accept that it's currently not real, and I'm not sure I can.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

I do want to try to incorporate some touches of HP in our wedding.  I don't want to replicate Bill and Fleur's or anything, but I've thought about including quotes from the books in certain areas.  The theme of love as the most powerful force in the world...  I think that's appropriate for a wedding, no?

Also, I won a bet with FI and I get to have a Harry Potter cake as a result!

My selfish wish would be to find a job that I loved that I could do for years and years and years. I don't have to be a millionaire, but it would be nice if it paid for a home, the ability to care for a family and to travel once or twice a year internationally.

My unselfish wish would be for better healthcare system worldwide. This isn't apolitical issue, but just for the ability for care from before birth through old age. Yay for healthy people!

It's outdoors in theory.  We don't have a venue yet -- that's a whole other story, but the one thing we've both wanted (and agreed on) since the very beginning is that it should be outside.

Ok so my answer was a hit! I would definately do a lot of donating, cancer, womens shelters, especially to animals. All things taht are close to me but of course I will have wonderful trips and shopping sprees galore!

Marley@ I unfortunately did splurge on two pairs of Louboutins and I must admit they are the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE pair of shoes I own. Last week when B and I went to dinner I couldn't even force myself to wear them for 1 hr!
