Where are you going (or where did you go) on your honeymoon?

we might take our honeymoon before our wedding..we got invited to a wedding in Mexico at an all inclusive resort so we might make that our honeymoon thing. My FI is in the navy so it would be hard for him to get time off to go anywhere too far and money wise it might be better for us to go before but we have not decided yet =]

Congratulations!  Mexico is going to give you the most value for you dollars.  The Carribbean islands tend to be expensive because everything has to be brought in. The Yucatan-Cozumel or Cancun are fabulous!! They have the most gorgeous beaches, historic pyramids abd all water sports imaginable. If you go further down the coast to Costa Maya,etc the buys might even be better and the sites are the same. Good luck.

We're going to ambergris Caye in Belize. We have a honeymoon suite which has it's own hammock, which I have called dibs on. 

I wouldn't go to Mexico right now, there is a lot of political unrest.

We are considering Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (doing research on the "unrest"... seems a lot of people equate it to not visiting Nebraska because of the violence in New York... so... I'm down).

Our second choice is Hawaii.

We're either going in January, or for our first anniversary next June.

We're not going right away. We're going to take some time to recuperate at a bed and breakfast for 3-days in MA since that's where we're getting married. Then we're going to France in August for a week.
And then doing a trip to Egypt in early 2012. Why 2? FI promised me we'd go to Egypt before we have kids and he didn't want to go to Egypt in the summer. So this was our compromise :-). Not sure if we can call it a second honeymoon though...

We went to Napa for a mini-moon.  And since I was lucky enough to get knocked up 2 months later, our 1st anniversary trip will just be to Palo Alto to see USC kick Stanford's butt.  Mr. Man already has his Trojan gear.  (Heck, he is going to at least 2 football games before he will even be 3 months old.  The brainwashing begins early.)

We are planning on doing a big trip this upcoming Spring/Summer, once Mr. Man is old enough to be left behind with the grandparents.

Definitely CUBA. We want to stay in some Casa Particulars and then a resort for the last few days (so we know that is all about too!)

We're leaving in 9 days.  Stopping in San Fran for two days, then onto Oahu, Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii.  It's going to be crazy.  I can't wait!

It is in my Cardinal and Gold blood to dislike them both.  Due to DH, I've had to share a bit of Pac-10 love with ASU now and that will be Mr. Man's second college football game. 

I have yet to go to Alcatraz.

Mutley - you know, Florida is gorgeous in the spring time...

Right now, I honestly have no idea when we'll actually get to go on a honeymoon. We both want to do it within about 6 mos of the wedding, but with comp exams, a research trip to Austria, and a conference in Nashville, I honestly don't know if I'll have enough vacation time to do it in the first year. ::pout::

We'd like to go somewhere where we can dive, but that's not all we can do (ziplining, hiking, etc.). Hence, our top picks at the moment are Hawaii or Costa Rica. South Africa or Thailand would have been pretty amazing, but I can only get a week off at a time.

We stayed in Parksville.  Favorite part was the private food tour we went on through the Comox valley.
