Keep your fingers crossed...

So we planned to take my mom to Hawaii with a Groupon we purchased a few months ago.  Their availability for the time frame we want to go is sparce because it's during the popular whale season, so we've been keeping an eye out.

Well this afternoon, there was a room available, so H called me saying he was going to book it.  I told him to wait about 30 minutes so I could call my mom to make sure she could get the time off of work, but he didn't wait and booked it anyways because he was worried someone else would get to it first.

So I finally talked to my mom and had her submit a request for those dates off, but she said if too many people are already scheduled for vacation at that time, she might not get it off.  And of course, the reservation is non-refundable, so we can't change it if she ends up not getting it.

So basically, H screwed the pooch on this one, but please keep your fingers crossed that my mom's vacation gets approved so it's a non-issue.  She should hopefully find out later today.

Fingers crossed! Is that a common time off for people where she works?

I'm not sure, she hasn't worked there very long (she started the week after our wedding), but I wouldn't imagine so in general.  It doesn't coincide with any holidays, school breaks, popular travel times, etc, so I'm hoping it won't be an issue, but you never know.

Thanks guys!  It worked, mom just text me that her vacation is approved!  We are off to Hawaii in 1 months & 4 weeks (because I naturally already made a ticker for it) :-D
