Go for the gold!!  Ok, that was super cheesy but I definitely think the gold looks better.

Even though the decision has long since been made, I like the gold ones better, since the green dress is such a bold color, bold black shoes make it harder to tell which one you should be looking at, lol.

That is along the lines of what FI said. The dress has an "exposed zipper" on the back that is black which is why I thought black modern shoes.

Buuut the gold shoes worked. I freaked a bit when we got there and I saw only black closed toed shoes on my initial shoe check. But I soon saw lots of ladies in various shoes. And we had a fun time. :)
