Very nice! I really like the twists in the band. Have you picked out a wedding band yet?
• edited December 2011
I haven't picked out a wedding band yet. FI bought the matching one for my ring and gave it to me after he proposed, but at the time I thought it'd be nice to get matching bands for the two of us. We returned the ring and now we can't seem to find what we're looking for. We wanted something that has a design engraved in it. The best option would be to have something custom made, so we're probably not going to match and just go with the original band. I feel like bridezilla! FI thinks it's really funny because he thought it'd turn out this way. He wanted to try until my bubble burst and we end up with the original band.

What kinda design were you looking for? Maybe someone here has seen something like it and can help.
• edited December 2011
The design doesn't matter that much to me. I would just LOVE it if it looked antiquey or vintage. My e-ring is also very narrow and all of the wedding bands have been so wide, they just look ridiculous next to it.

Thanks for all of the compliments on the ring...I love it! It's nothing like the rings I showed him :) I finally get to show it to my family this weekend and I can't wait!

Hey, if you like vintage, check out the other thread where you asked me for pics. The e-ring is from 1941, and lord only knows how old the other one is. My grandma had it forever it seemed.

What do you think about this one? It' 2.9mm, so it's not very wide.[img]http://www.danforthdiamond.com/product_images/8759_S.jpg[/img]And maybe something like this for him?

Thanks so much! I'll have to run it by FI, he's awfully picky about rings for a guyThe knot can be stupid about stuff. I still don't get why we can't just copy & paste pictures here.

I somehow missed that you got engaged! Congratulations! I love your ring. I think having matching wedding bands is a great idea. Even if yours was a smaller version. Where have you guys looked?
• edited December 2011
Thank youWe looked at the major places at malls...Kay (we looked at several locations since that's where he got my e-ring), Goodman, Rogers and Holland...can't remember the other chain stores. We also looked at two local jewelers. The good thing that came from all of this looking is that I was able to convince Fi he doesn't want titanium because he'll want something that can be cut off just is case. He's taking over the family farm once he graduates so accidents could easily happen.

There's Knox Jewelers in Minneapolis that's really popular for custom designs. I like this ring, and I bet you could have them make two with different widths.

Panda, this one is even better than the ones you showed me earlier! Too bad when I showed FI his exact words were it's nice for you. Since when are guys so picky about jewelry?

Maybe he wants something more "manly". How about something like this? It doesn't exactly match, but it still has a different finish on it.

I like it! I was looking at one similar to this one online today. If the matching band was anything like the one I saw, it looked really good together (well, I thought it did). But, if you want to match, it would be hard to find a masculine ring that looked like that!
He pretty much had me at "hello".

How about these two? I'm sure MoissaniteCo can make it using diamonds too, if you prefer.
