It's coming...

So TK is all glitchy and slow today...I'm bored. The stores are full of candy and decorations and I got 2 catalogs in the mail yesterday so I'm ready to talk about Halloween! lolEvery year our costumes are pretty last minute and thrown together and never have anything to do with each other. I've been wasting precious company time by browsing costumes online and I figured I'd pose the question:I was curious have any of you ever done couples costumes? Stories? Pictures?

PIB (Knot bio - click on my SN).The only year we've gone as the same thing was 2007 as pirates.  Brad alternates between pirate and vampire year after year, and I like to change it up as much as possible.I really really want to buy an old wedding dress from Goodwill and modify it to Corpse Bride status, but I never can find one that I think will work, so that idea keeps getting pushed back year after year.My favorite in recent history is She-ra.  :)

My first year in college, my ex-bf and I went as Tinker Bell and Peter Pan. It was pretty last minute, but didn't look too bad.

Acro, I did that with my old wedding dress! Any wedding dress should work. I put a black corset over the dress, really undead makeup, and a black lace shawl as a veil. That is assuming that you want to be A corpse bride not THE corpse bride ala Disney...

We went with a nautical theme last year instead of a couples costume. He was Captain Jack Sparrow & I was a sailor. I would upload a pic but I can't figure out how to.

Yea, I was going for the Tim Burton version. If you look up artist "Deconstructress" on Etsy, that's what I'm going for. But I don't want to pay $500 for it.

Now I don't think I'm quite so weird...I'm not the only person already looking at stuff for Halloween. We haven't done couple's costumes. We're kind of lame; we like to sit at home and hand out candy. I'm a big fan of the scary costumes, but I don't want to scare any kids.

Last year, we did our own thing - I was Amy Winehouse and he was a gargoyle. This year, we're definitely leaning towards a couple's costume. The three ideas currently in top running:1) Dressing our puppy up as a shark and have us be shark attack victims. 2) (if we're engaged by this point) A black widow bride and zombie groom3) A naughty cop and a jail inmateThe puppy is currently hanging in the balance. Not a big fan of dressing up your dog (save for an occasional bandana), but I don't mind dressing her up for Halloween if it's something that's relatively comfortable for her (a basic dog t-shirt type costume). Trying to find a shark costume for a 40 lb dog that doesn't have a headpiece/go over her head (she HATES things on her head, but is totally cool with t-shirts) is proving to be quite difficult. If we can't find a shark, we're seriously debating putting her in a black puppy shirt with a bow tie and sewing empty mini-bottles on the shirt and having her be a bartender. We shall see...

Last year FI and I went as Juno and Bleeker and it was pretty hilarious (he had short shorts and a headband). It was especially hilarious when I went into the grocery store to get some Sunny D and Malibu (I figured it wouldn't be too bad together) and some of the customers thought I was actually pregnant...
