A friends FB status this morning got me thinking.Typically there's a lot of hand pictures on your wedding day because of the rings.If you are married did your DH get a manicure?Because he wanted one?Because he needed one?Because you made him?

FI has agreed to get a manicure before the wedding. He needs one. REALLY.It was my idea, and I'm sure he'd gladly skip it, but he knows he needs it so he's ok with it.

my friends getting married this weekend and her status was "[FI]'s fingernails are disgusting, think I can convince him to get his nails done today?"I started cracking up because it's not something I've ever though about but BF has some truly icky nails.

I would've never thought to do that.  But now that I think about it, when we visit BF's mom, he always gets his nails done b/c she has a manicurist come out to the house.  I never do, because I bite my nails and my hands are hideous.  I think we'll just skip the hand shots when the time comes...

Wow, I never thought of that. Bf has awful hands. He's a truck driver/delivery person so his hands take a beating. On top of that he is a terrible nail biter (I am too but not half as bad as he is). I also know that he would NEVER get a mainure. Maybe the picture will have to be, his hand on the bottom and cut off his fingertips!

My FI would probably be the one trying to get me to get a manicure. I just never really feel like spending money on stuff like that.

Yeah I don't really get spending money on that but I always do my nails myself.

Speaking of ourselves-- I usually do my own nails (just file & push back cuticles... keep them nice-looking) but FI loves it when I get a manicure & pedicure occasionally. Not all the time, just a couple of times a year maybe.I enjoy it, I feel pretty, and he likes it when I feel pampered. It's a real treat and makes him feel like he makes enough money to really take care of me. lolI guess professional manis/pedis are for rich people, so he feels like a high roller if I get one.

I love my man, but dear god his hands are horrible. He picks his cuticles everytime he is stressed/nervous. I don't think he would go for a manicure, but I am not for a bunch of hand pics, they are cheesy to me. I probably wouldn't care if we got them or not.

I think I could talk BF into getting a manicure for our wedding. haha.

BF's hands take a beating too, because he does so much with them at work.  I could probably convince him to do that, but he's pretty stubborn as well.  I don't know... he does get his hair cut at a salon!
