FOCUS! Or add to the communal bucket list. Whatever.

I'm having trouble focusing, and since tomorrow is Monday, let's try a game:

1) Post 3-5 things that are on your "bucket list"

2) If you recently accomplished something from your bucket list, AW away, w/ pics if you have them

3) Is there something that you want to do that your partner might hold you back from?  Not on purpose, per say, more like I want to backpack in Africa again and DH hates camping and is afraid of 3rd-world countries...

4) If you have dome something on someone else's list, share your experience!

Two weeks, three finals, five Shakespeare plays, and six essays until I graduate!

I'm not entirely sure, BF and I know we won't be able to go for a long time so we haven't done a lot of research on it.

Well, if DH and I make it down there for my sister's tour in December I'll let you know where we liked!  More likely it'll be a while for us, too.

Awesome! Oh I was wondering why do you want to go to Antarctica? It seems like an interesting choice

Beth - I travelled Australia for a month. I mainly travelled on the West Coast, not the typical travel route, as I have family and friends there. Feel free to ask me anything.

    1. Bucket List:
Get married and have a family
Get in better shape and be comfortable wearing a bikini
    Go to Iceland
    Go to Italy
Go to France and use my French....finally

    2. I recently bought a house.

    3. I wouldn't say he'd hold me back in anyway. Aside from the fact that he has his own list. Some things are the same, but others are different. So it may ultimately be we each have to sacrafice a goal here or there to allow the other to complete one of theirs. This is mainly due to limited time and finances and us both having different top travel destinations.

    4. See above comment on Australia.

    1. Things from my bucket list (in NPO):
    -Swim in the Pacific Ocean
    -Become fluent in another language
-See the Great Wall of China
    -Become a better Jew
    -Go parasailing

    2. I got a tattoo:

    I've participated in a protest:

    See the Lincoln Memorial:

    And the Smithsonian:

    3. He would never hold me back. In fact, he'd urge me to do something I was particularly afraid of.

    1) Post 3-5 things that are on your "bucket list"
--Visit all the Disneylands in the World
    --Go camping during every season
--Donate blood as many times as possible in one year

    2) If you recently accomplished something from your bucket list, AW away, w/ pics if you have them.

Completed my renaissance festival outfit. It took four years of slowly buying each piece because I'm not skilled at all with a sewing machine. Final product:

    3) Is there something that you want to do that your partner might hold you back from?

For the most part our bucket lists are pretty similar. The only thing that I'll be held back from is working at Disney World. I chose a different path anyway because I don't think I could deal with the humidity of FL, but it's still a little disappointing at times. Having bought a house here in our home town and his studying to become a licensed financial planner in NY, picking up and moving isn't really possible.

    4.  go to the Grand Canyon, more specifically, hike to Havasupai Falls (not a typo...i was born in raised in AZ and I have never been there)

I guess I want to go to Antarctica because I was all set up to go on an expedition after graduating from high school, but my accident prevented me from going.  I'll never get that opportunity back, but I still want to get there even if it's as a tourist!

Hazel: Ohh Iceland's on my list, too!  Seems like an amazing place!  My sister lived in Perth for a bit, but I've only visited her in Hobart (TAS) and Melbourne.  She loved the West coast, I'm excited to get over to that side of the country at some point!

GPB: What were you protesting?  Based on the flag, seems like my kind of event so I'm curious...

Deburnin: Love the outfit!  And thanks for donating blood- Those of us at higher risk of needing it appreciate so so so much that people like you are willing to go through the uncomfortable process of donating!

Jemmini: Where have you been diving so far?

    1) Post 3-5 things that are on your "bucket list

Be the best mother and wife that I can.
Travel to a long list of places...
Train for and run a half marathon, maybe evena  full one one day.
Participate in missionary work in South Africa and India.
    Go back to school.
Get one last tattoo (a portrait of my mom in her memory)
Master the family recipes (I'm the only person with them so I have to!)
    Become a better artist.
    Read more regularly.

    2) If you recently accomplished something from your bucket list, AW away, w/ pics if you have them

My son would be one but I'm not PIP'ing his face here it's too public so you'll have to imagine what a sweet little blonde haired blig blue eyed 3 year old looks like! :)

Other things that were on my list were...
Travel outside the US (Mexico, Canada and the Dominican Republic)
    Get a tattoo (I've got a few)
Buy a brand new car (got a 2006 Scion a few years back)
Own a house (did, now FI has "our house" but we'll be moving in a few years when we outgrown this one)

    3) Is there something that you want to do that your partner might hold you back from?  Not on purpose, per say, more like I want to backpack in Africa again and DH hates camping and is afraid of 3rd-world countries...

Nah, we are both pretty adventurous.  Having children will limit us for while but we have intentions of traveling when we can and staying active when our children are grown.

It was a protest to the government to overturn Don't Ask, Don't Tell and to legalize gay marriage.

GPB:  Hooray!  I am SO pissed about DADT, and esepcially at John McCain because his daughter is a lesbian, and before he decided to run for president he was good about supporting or at least not voting on gay rights issues.  So why the fu*k has he decided to become such a stick in the mud about DADT now???

I can't even. The whole thing just makes my blood boil. But it was a really amazing thing to be a part of. Cleve Jones was there, as was Dustin Lance Black and Lt. Dan Choi. HE was incredible.

<div>I'm guessing it's because of the backlash he got from hardcore GOP for being too moderate.</div>

ugh...i have tried donating a few times, but they (united blood services) won't let me :(  i'm technically under their height/weight limit to donate.  i wonder if red cross has the same limits....

EDIT:  looks like i might actually be able to with red cross...i'll have to give them a call.
