I'm bored at work/procrastinating. . . hence this post. This is mostly just for fun
FI and I started our registry last weekend. We're stuck on dinnerware. I can't find any at BB&B that I like, so we're thinking about Crate and Barrel. Which of the following do you like best?
#1 Roulette Blue Band $31.95 for the set.

#2 Camden Sand $22.95/set

#3 Essential Dinnerware White $12.95/set

#4 Marin White Dinnerware $29.95/set

Re: Help me with my registry!
ETA: I'm talking about the bowl and coffee cup with number two. They aren't as bad as mine, but after dealing with mine, I want nothing like their shape.
#3 is my 2nd choice.

SO and I have had lengthy discussions on dishes and how he feels that food always looks better on pure white plates. I have to admit that he's right. I vote for #1!

These are the dishes his dad is absolutely in LOVE with- and Andrew can't stand:
We'll literally inherit almost a thousand of these pieces when his parents pass. Food doesn't look so good on them.

I agree with this too, which is why I don't have any wacky patters or colors in my selection. :) I'm sorry about your impending plate inheritance!

Hahahaha! BF has a horrible green set that belonged to his parents (they are still alive, but gave them to him when he moved out). They are so ugly, but he won't get rid of them because he's sentimental like that. So, they're in a box in the attic...
ETA: I just did a search to see if I could find a picture, and 4 of these bowls are being sold on Ebay for $30! Maybe I should convince him to sell them?

This reminds me of a question I wanted to ask earlier...I will start another post, m'hm...2 more hours at work? ::sigh::
[QUOTE]Hm...But I also like number 4. That set looks comfy. Like...I'm sipping tea here.... in my comfy robe...contemplating what flowers I want to plant where...while admiring my Marin white coffee cup.

Agreed. #1 is more contemporary/modern, and I am more into the rustic look. #4 just seems cozy and I like the "beaten" look of it.

</div><div>You could always go the route we do at home. We break them. Not "intentionally" but it just ends up happening.</div><div>
</div><div>I set a bowl down yesterday and it cracked in half. We're about to get new dishes because we've broken so many.

But now Wrkn has me second-guessing the squarish bowls.
I haz a planning bio
Right now we have mismatched dishes and I have a feeling FI won't want to part with some of them. Although they are only sets of 4 and look completely different...ugh.
My Bio - updated 26/3/2011
[QUOTE]I personally don't like the shapes of the bowls and mugs of 2 and 4. So, shape wise I like 1 and 3 the best equally. Right now we have mismatched dishes and I have a feeling FI won't want to part with some of them. Although they are only sets of 4 and look completely different...ugh.

I second you "ugh." Andrew and I have been holding onto a broken tea cup because he SWEARS he's going to glue it back together. It's a flipping white tea cup. I'll buy him a new one.
