The average amount for an engagement ring is almost $5,400. Oh my god, I could never wear something that expensive every day! I've told BF about a million times that I really would prefer he spend less than $1000.

All I know is that if I'm buying my wedding band (which I am), I don't wanna spend more than a couple hundred on it (which I might ). Damn diamonds.

Cheapos for the win! :) BF and I are the same way. I told him if he spends more than $1000 on E-ring, I'm going to put my foot up his asss. He looked at me, went, "Psh, that money's for our house fund" and walked away lol.
