Did you go to summer camp as a child? Did you love it or hate it?

I am leaving for summer camp tomorrow! I do have internet access there, but I'm usually too busy to play on the internet!

So, I will be boating, doing archery, stargazing, sitting in my old lady rocking chair on the porch and all that totally fun stuff for the next 8 weeks! I will also be dealing with homesickness, bedwetting, bullies, and all that un-fun stuff also! I guess that is the fun part about being the Director.

So, I'll try to stop in when I have an opportunity so that I can try to stay current on what everyone is up to! I hope everyone has a good summer!

Have fun! I went to day camp and loved it most days. When I got older and was a life guard, they hired my as pool manager and lead swim instructor... It was a blast seeing how somethings had changed and some things never would lol

I went to day camp too, I loved it and wanted to go back every year but I aged out when I was 13.  I was a counselor at the same day camp that I went to as a kid for 3 years and it was just as much fun as when I was a kid, but better because I got paid! 

Last year I was an assistant director and had kind of a crappy summer, I didn't get to spend any time with the kids at all because I was stuck behind a mountain of paper work.  So this year I went back to counselor I took a pay cut but my sanity is worth 1 dollar less an hour!  I am so looking forward to it in a couple of weeks!

I went to camps as a kid days ones I would spend a few weeks at a theater/acting camp and then go to dance camp.  In college I worked as a counselor to the theater camp i went to as a kid and also did a summer at an outdoor camp.  It was tiring and too hot outside and I was so under paid.
