How do you like your eggs?

Unfertilized.  I've been asking that question in hopes someone would catch the other side of that question.  But when I eat them, I prefer them over-medium.  Not too runny, not completely hard.

I have cramps right now. Any secrets to getting them to leave?

Sleep.  When mine show up, I'm usually on the floor in pain.  It's not pretty.

What is the meaning of life?

To love and be loved.

Where would you go if you could go anywhere RIGHT NOW?

Back to Germany.  I'm dying to see my host mom and sister.  I haven't seen them in 4 years, and I could seriously use some European retail therapy.  And, I really want to talk to my host dad, but he and host mom are in the middle of a nasty divorce, and I'd rather talk to him without letting her know.

Favorite fruit/vegetable to eat raw?

I have to pick one?  Carrots, pineapple...mango

Will you ever willingly drive a minivan?

Oh hell no.  I hate driving an SUV too.  When I have babies, I plan on getting a hatchback.  I really love the Honda Fit, but couldn't afford one when I got my new car.

Best drinking game?

Kings puts me on the floor.  But I also enjoy Up the River, Down the River and I just learned 21.  Which was hilarious.

Favorite website to wasted time on (besides TK)?

Facebook probably.  I enjoy stalking the sorority girls around here, as that's a huge part of campus life.

Mani or pedi?

Pedi.  I slammed my left pinky finger in the car door before Christmas, and part of my nail bed is now exposed.  No mani for me until that's grown back.

What does your name mean?

When I was a baby, my parents used to be able to do two things to get me to stop crying.  The first was drop me in front of the fish tank.  The second was to play peekaboo with me.  My nickname became peekaboo when my parents figured out I could be entertained for HOURS with the game, and my dad still calls me peekaboo.  2011 is the year I'm graduating college!!

Favorite dessert?

Fruit, yogurt and brown sugar.  I shared the recipe somewhere recently.  It's delicious.

Best vacation destination you've been to?

La Paz, Mexico.  We weren't on vacation, necessarily.  It was my May Term trip for Tropical Marine Biology.  We spent 7 days on Espiritu Santo Island (amazing, it's a UNESCO heritage site, and the group we were with is the only company that has license to bring groups to camp there), and then we spent 4 or 5 days at Cabo Pulmo.  Snorkeling and SCUBA in the Sea of Cortez was perhaps the most amazing thing ever.  If you guys want, I'll AW some pictures from the trip later.  We played with sea lions and swam with whale sharks.  AMAZING.

How many (if any) kids do you want?

2.  One boy, one girl.  :-)

Would you send your kids to public school or private school?

Depends on where we live.  If it's a state with a not-so-great educational system, private.  But I fully believe in public school.

Are you living in the area you'd like to stay or would you prefer to live in another part of the country/world?

I hate being in Roanoke.  I miss the ocean, which is my biggest issue.  FI and I want to live near water, as both of us love the ocean, although in different ways.  I want my kids to grow up and understand the shore to be not just a great destination for sunbathing, but as a place where they can be in tune with nature and learn something that's bigger than they are.

What is your ideal honeymoon destination?

We want to go to Fiji and stay in one of those glass-bottom cabins so I can watch the fishies after we've done naughty things ;-)

Do you ever sent naughty texts to your SO while at work?

Periodically, when I'm feeling slightly ignored and kind of frisky.  He's not a fan of the concept, so...it only happens rarely.  But when it does, I let it all out...

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To get away from the alligator that was chasing him.

Do you like light or dark stain on wood furniture? Medium?

Depends on the room.  I love the idea of rich, dark mahogany or cherry in a dining room and master bedroom, but light or medium everywhere else.

What color socks are you wearing? Where did you get them?

I hate socks.  And shoes.  If I can get away with it, I wear flip flops.  I also have lab shoes that I don't have to wear socks with (they're like fake Sperrys).  Today, I'm wearing pink polka dot flats with peep toes and open middle side things...I got them at Shoe Parade or something like that for $3.  They are by far my favorite "old" shoe.

Favorite Vegan food? I can't do vegan.  Seriously, I LOVE cheese.  Comes from having worked at an Italian restaurant for a while.  I did have a great vegetarian portabello cap with cheese, tomatoes and spinach covered in balsamic vinagrette when I visited FSU this past fall.  Delish. Favorite way to eat steak? (I love how I juxtaposed this) Steak marsala with romano and fontina cheeses.  Yum. What is your major is College? Biology.  My minor is German. Favorite book? (do people even read books anymore?) This is a super hard one.  I love books, and am a collector.  I'd love to get my hands on a first edition of Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass.  I loved Sophie's World: A Novel on the History of Philosophy, everything by Emily Giffin (especially the new one), and Der Schwarm, which is a marine-science biological thriller.   Favorite weather and why? Warm and sunny.  I cannot handle the cold.  If I'm inside, I'm constantly under blankets because being cold runs in the family.  My mom's the same way.  Besides, the ocean's much better when it's warm out.
