Too Many Groomsmen

Hi there,

My groom has identified 10 groomsmen to my 5-6 bridesmaids. I've suggested using some of the groosmen as ushers or making them honorary groomsmen, or that they could fulfill other important roles such as helping with photography or music (since several are already photographers and others are well-regarded musicians).  In his mind, any role other than groomsman would be a demotion and he can't choose one over the other so he's insisting on all 10.  (Truth be told, my family is partially responsible since 3 of the proposed groomsmen are my brothers and I feel we should prioritize blood relatives over friends).

I'm inclined to let him have all 10 groomsmen without inviting 4-5 additional bridesmaids.  I just need to find a way to line all up for the processional!  Any ideas?

Also, two of my bridesmaids are 'junior bridesmaids' (ages 11 & 13).  I'm thinking two of my youngest brothers (ages 15 & 16) could be 'junior groomsmen'.  But that still leaves 8 groomsmen to my 3-4 remaining bridesmaids.  Should each bridesmaid receive 2 escorts? 3 at a time down the aisle sounds a little crowded!

We also do not yet have any flower girls or ring bearers (in case that helps with our predicament).  Can't wait for any advice!!!   (We're planning for a June 2012 wedding and we haven't asked anyone to be in our wedding party yet.)
