Wedding AW- Not PIP heavy

 Ok, Ok, so I’m late on the wedding AW.  

We had a wonderful time, the food was delicious, we swapped out bacon wrapped dates for jerk shrimp at the last minute, so those who were lactose intolerant would have something to nosh on. I was incredibly calm the whole time, about five minutes before the ceremony it all hit me, and I have never had nerves like that before. There are a few pictures of me where I am obviously taking deep breaths to calm down. 

 I never really cried much leading up to the wedding, but when we hung  the dress up with the veil in H’s grandmother’s room, I cried a little. Then the rehearsal dinner was pretty tearful, H’s mom cried, his sisters cried and I did a little too.

I completely forgot to make a ribbon bouquet, so I carried a rolled up church newsletter at the rehearsal.  The day before the wedding we put together programs, which I loved, and I was laughing because my mom couldn’t figure out how to tie a loop. She’s the bow queen, but making half a bow flummoxed her. I also took it upon myself to eat the raw cranberries, which are SO SOUR. The cranberries were for the centerpieces, they were frozen and we wanted to see if we needed to buy a bunch of cranberries the morning of, they were fine BTW. 

 My MOH and I had a sleep over in the hotel and then we had breakfast in my room, I was determined to eat something the day of the wedding. Then we got a prettied. I have one hilarious picture of me driving in full make up, with my hair done and wearing running shorts.  Once we got to the church, I realized that I forgot to change out of my “day” underwear, so I used my mother’s wrap like a towel and “deck changed” into a nicer pair of underwear. I guess there was a running bet to see who would cry first, and it was definitely my FIL. I walked out of the room all dressed and he just started crying. My Dad was fine till we hit the aisle, and I wasn’t smiling on the way down because I would start crying if I did. H was funny, he couldn’t see me so I’m looking for him and he steps into my view like Wallace and Gromit side stepping. 

 The ceremony was beautiful, short but meaningful. The reception was so fun, the band played like there was no tomorrow. And the paper planes were a HUGE hit. We don’t have pics of those yet, but people were taking 3-4 and hiding them in purses to take home. Once I get all the pics, I’ll AW some more. Aww, your day sounds so perfect with all the right "little moments" that you will remember forever. The whole thing made my mood improve drastically

My fave by far is you two on the stairs. That picture is classic and gorgeous. I adore your veil due to the fact that I have a special place for cathedral length and the dress is AH-MAZING! You're centerpieces are awesome, as well.

You look happy and beautiful. Congrats again on you're special day.

Yay!  Glad to hear it was so wonderful!  The pictures are gorgeous - you looked stunning, and I really really love your dress and your centerpieces turned out fantastic.  But I gotta say, my favorite parts of your wedding are your flowers and your food.  Both look incredible!

So tell us... did you eat at your wedding?  Because I would hate to miss that delicious feast!

Love the pics! Look at you with all that makeup.

I loved the BM dresses and cake and the girls who wrote "That's what SHE said."

Also the guy with the garter on his head was pretty hilarious.

I know digging up an old post is a no-no, but I had to say congrats.   Everything about your wedding was beautiful.  A very late congrats.
