S/O Lady Bits...

I saw a few other people thought Ely's post was about our nether regions so I decided to do one. So how do you prefer to be? Full Brazilian? Neat and Trimmed? OR Wild and Au Natural?

  • Ditto, I save the waxes for special occasions. They're expensive!

    Same.

  • Ditto Tarra. Waxing scares me, lol.

Also, I was wondering if someone would do this post tonight, lol.

  • I trim regularly.  When I want it completely bare, I wax.  I get wayyy too many ingrown hairs when I shave...like, any part of my body.
  • I keep my bikini line trimmed regularly, but for special occassions, I spend a good 20 minutes trimming and shaving as bare as I can get. I couldn't get waxed, not for the money, the pain, or the awkwardness of having anyone around my lady bits.
  • I suddenly feel very, very European.   O.o
  • I have TERRIBLE skin..and a skin conditions called Hidrinitis Suppertiva...So I can't do anything but natural. :(

Fortunately- Andrew seems to think it's quite fine. I'd love to have an awesomely clean bikini line- but I'll inevitably rash out and I have lots of scars down there. It's kinda sad, really.

  • And despite feeling very, very European, I also feel very, very prudish. Mutually exclusive, I know.
  • This thread was not intended to judge the way anyone takes care of their privates. I'm usually clean shaven as I can be (without irritating my skin.) But currently totally natural because I can't bend over to get at it with my back all jacked up! lol

LoL, you're not alone.  Au natural actually.  Danish man and I like it that way.

Side note last Sunday I was at dinner with friends when I was informed that one of the male friends at the dining table had to get his neither regions waxed when he lost a bet during beer pong.  His girlfriend has pictures of him on all fours and in PAIN.  Seriously waxing the junk?..... Yikes.
  • I'm typically completely au naturel in the ladybits department. Every now and then, I'll trim, but most of the time, I have a proud mountain woman bush.

<div>This used to be me, but FI asked several years ago that I start leaving a little bit to the imagination... hence, the landing strip. I have to say bare was WAY easier to maintain!</div>

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • I'm sort of halfway between natural and clean bikini line/trimmed.

I keep things trimmed and use an electric lady shaver around the bikini line if I'm going to be in a swimsuit or at the OB.

Although, as I may have mentioned in last night's thread, my baby belly is starting to get in the way of my grooming. I may resort to just keeping things trimmed at some point.

<div>I go the au natural route in the winter, both with my lady parts and my legs. Siriusly. I just don't give a fvck during the winter months, lol.</div>
  • I wasn't really sure what to answer. I keep it trimmed, so it's not completely au natural, but I don't shave any part of it. I tried once, and the horrible itchy stinging week that followed turned me off of it for life. I've never been waxed, either. The thought of that freaks me the eff out.
  • For special occasions I shave it bare, and I spend a lot of time on it.

Otherwise I try to keep it trimmed, BUT my trimmer broke so I've had to do without for months. :( I need to buy a new one because BF's beard trimmer doesn't do the job properly and long hairs are annoying!
    ******************************************************

  • I don't really fall into any of the categories. In the winter I just trim everything, I don't keep a clean bikini line with just a landing strip. During the summer I keep it waxed except a landing strip. Waxing is too expensive to keep up all year round, and I find anything besides waxing gives me too many ingrown hairs. We spend most weekends in the summer at the cabin or at the beach or camping or whatever so I'll wax most of the summer to stay clean for bikini season. If we go anywhere in the winter though where I'll be wearing a bikini I'll wax.

  • Landing strip!!  (fitting because of my job Tongue Out)  I had laser hair removal on that portion of my lady bits area so it's REAL easy to keep neat & tidy.

  • I shave it bare, but I wait a bit in between (at least a few days, maybe a week, 2 at the most) to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.  I've always been interested in getting waxed, I'm not shy, but I am concerned about how painful it is, plus it's expensive.

  • I go for a Brazilian just about every month. Take it all off --  front & back.  I like it like that & FI does too for the most part.  He requested a landing strip before but I personally don't like that so it all gets taken off!

  • I didn't vote because none really apply to me.

I can't shave the whole thing - the thought of it just makes me cringe.  Too many bumps and ingrown hairs.  I shave my bikini line and make sure to use an after shave gel to keep the irritation in check (which doesn't always work).  I trim about once a month with an electric trimmer.

I've had a few Brazilians before.  I really like them, but they're expensive.  I think the best part is getting completely bare front AND back.  I always feel hyper aware of my lady bits after a Brazilian wax.

I will probably get one for the wedding.

  • I shave but keep it totally bare. I did the landing strip for a while and it was too much hassle to shave some but not all.

Waxing that area scares the bejeezus out of me lol.

  • I rarely if ever trim or shave, because I've read that pubic hair keeps your lady bits healthy. If I'm feeling particularly naughty, I will shave it down, and FI likes it, but I only enjoy it for about a day or two. Then I start to itch and be cranky. He doesn't care though, so I'm free to do whatever. Can I just say I giggled my way through this thread? This is why I love this board - I would never sit down at a table with my friends and say, "Hey, how do you keep your lady bits?" I love you guys :D

  • I keep it completely bare. I shave it basically every 3 days. I really want to just get a brazilian wax but I feel like It'd be to weird for me. Also.. super expensive! This thread is hilarious.
