For those curious

So I didn't threadjack, here is what's going on:

The paper mill in my hometown is under lockdown, because a crazy guy who was fired recently went in & is holding the mill manager hostage. The Maine State Swat/Tactical team is there. My uncle (and probably 150 other people I know, as you don't live in my town without being somehow tied to the mill) is at work. They say everyone in the mill is safe - as the crazy shotgun man is in the administration building, but it's still worrisome.

    I'm sorry WHAT? Yell

  • Latest is that the gunman let the manager go, but the mill is still on lockdown.

As for continuing work - it's a huge production mill. Unless the guy was ON the floor, shooting, I don't think it would be feasable for them to shut down work. They've already lost millions of dollars today because they weren't able to get the logging trucks in.

There is some updated information here, along with some other pictures, including the full logging trucks just sitting on the road, waiting to get in.
