Who should give the bride away if dad is deceased?

Do I ask my mom who is 81 yrs. old (and I'm sure would be thrilled to be asked) or my two sons, ages 33 and 34?

Ask whomever you feel closest to.  Or you could have your sons walk you half way and your mom the rest of the way.  Another option would be to walk down the aisle by yourself and when the officiant asks "Who gives this woman to this man?" (or something similar), your mother and sons can just respond from their places in the front row.  Good luck.

No one MUST give you away.

Of course, you can have who ever you want.

Some brides walk with their dads, some by themselves, some even walk down the aisle with their groom (I think that's actually very cool).

Or you can walk with your sons, your mom, or anyone else who you feel close to.  Completely your decision here!

This! You can always walk down by yourself if you dont want to leave anyone out (mom vs kids) and dont want a whole party walking you down. Personally I always think its sweet when children (grown or otherwise old enough to understand the symbolism of entrusting your care to someone 'new') give away thier moms, but its really up to you.

If you would be out of your comfort zone walking by yourself, then I'd say you should have your mother escort you.  The symbolism of a parent giving away a child would still be maintained that way.

    Sons would do.

    Ditto, whomever you want!

Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
