We've talked about it a lot. He doesn't see things the way I do but he is trying. He was super pissed off when we went out with a bunch of people to celebrate me getting into grad school and she wound up making the whole night about her birthday (which was the NEXT weekend). So he has at least recognized that she isn't nice to me (neither are his other friends though).

I have good days and bad days with how I look. I just really need to get the weight off. I think that will help with a lot of my self esteem issues.

:/ Well at least he is trying and getting there.  Sometimes things take a while.  It sucks that no one likes you on his side.  You are so sweet an awesome, who could ask for better?  Well I think you are beautiful and I think that you shouldn't have to loose any weight to feel beautiful!!

Those are so cute! I agree the first ones are more awesome but the second ones are still really cute!

I found a pair of cowboy boots that I loved but they were like $500 so that is never gonna happen!
I'm in the computer lab once again on a Saturday night.  I have so much work due this week.  I thought I was knocking this stupid assignment out really quickly, and then I realized I wrote the code completely wrong, and had to basically start over.  At least FI and I had a decent dinner out tonight.  <strong>I don't think anyone could successfully KUI tonight.  I can't keep up with any of these threads, let alone the long ones.  I wouldn't want to try after a few drinks.</strong>

    Haha...agreed!

Where did you and your FI go for dinner?
In Response to Re: Anyone around? : We went to a BBQ place in the city.  I was uptown working in the computer lab that closed at 6, so I figured we'd meet for dinner when it closed.  This place we love is within walking distance of the computer lab I'm currently camped out in, so it was pretty convenient. The food was great.  FI is really testy lately and just wasn't good company at all.  He tells me he thinks he's depressed, but I don't know, he doesn't seem to want to do anything except complain.  He slept until 3:30 today though*, so maybe I should take him more seriously, but<strong> he's a chronic WebMDer.  He has back pain, and every week it's some new, terrible disease, but HE WON'T GO TO THE DOCTOR.</strong>  He complains about his job, but the last time he was offered an interview for a different project, he stayed on his current project because they offered him a promotion and raise.   *He loves to sleep in on the weekends.  Lately we've both been staying up later during the week and he just sleeps through his alarm.  I mentioned that maybe sleeping for 12 hours a night on the weekends isn't a great idea because it's throwing off his sleep pattern.  He didn't seem to think it was logical at all - he thinks depression is a more logical reason.  I'm like, you have to keep your body on a schedule.  You can't go to bed at 3 am and wake up at 3 pm two days a week, and then try to function on 6 hours a sleep the following 5 days.   I dunno, to me it just feels like he's trying to come up with a reason to explain his habits, rather than try to change them.  If it's truly something wrong, then I'll support him.  But don't make shiit up just because you think it's too hard to change what you're doing.  I was up just as late, but I managed to drag myself out of bed after 8 hours of sleep.  Did I want to get out of bed?  No.  But I knew that sleeping until 3 would fuuck me up more than sleeping until 11 did.  /rant.

BF's dad and brother are like that too. They shouldn't be allowed to access WebMd. Hopefully your FI isn't depressed and is just going through some sort of phase though!

Also, one time WebMd told me I had the plague. That was a total WTF moment!
In Response to Re: Anyone around? : He told me the other day he had some degenerative disease (incurable, obviously) that was causing his back pain.  I was like, yes that, OR it might be related to the fact that you have TERRIBLE posture, and sleep on your stomach.  And when he sits on the couch he lays in the weirdest positions that can't be comfortable.
    Posted by yaga13
Is it bad to sleep on your stomach? I do that sometimes.

BF's mom just tells his dad that 1) he is being ridiculous or 2) to shut up. I guess after 30 years she is over it. This past weekend he fell and landed on his back and was freaking out all day that he had a concussion even though he didn't even hit his head!

I'm here, but about to go to bed.

Funny you girls mention Tangled, that's mine and FI's movie, lol. We're going to have a paper lantern release at the end of our reception (to the appropriate song, of course ;) ) I even listen to the soundtrack when I'm Wedding planning... keeps it fun and from overwhelming me. It's like an adventure. :)
