to propose or not to propose? that is the question

I am about to go off for another tour and my girlfriend right now and I have been dating for about 5 years and the topic of marriage has comes up more and more. I don't know why I do not do it I just signed over my life thorugh a power of attorney form from http://powerofattorneyform.com or http://legalzoom.com I can't remember where but we are basically married and my question is should I pull the trigger before I go off?
