I'm wondering why people decided on their Knot username?

What does it mean?

Ember01

Ember was my camp name when I was a counselor (we didn't tell kids our real name)

01 was the year I was a camp counselor for the first time

I changed my username a few months after I joined TK because my original one had my first and middle names in it and I wasn't comfortable with that. I couldn't come up with anything more creative at the time and I wish I had found something that didn't have 'baby' in it now but I don't care enough to change it again. And as I'm sure you all know by now I chose 'sapphire' because my e-ring is a sapphire and it's also my favorite gemstone - 926 is our wedding date.

Mine is the nickname my dad had/still has calls me.  As a baby, my favorite game was Peek-A-Boo, to the point where I would play for hours and not get bored.  2011 is the year I'm graduating from college.

Zip is 1. It's technically three words. I based it around my favorite Beanie Baby, Zip, back in the 90s when the interwebz were just starting to grow. I wanted it to be Zip_is_#1 but Yahoo wouldn't let me, so I just shortened it to Zipis1.

When I was a little kid, I wore my hair in two waist-length braids every day. My classmates thought it was fun to twist my hair into two big buns like Princess Leia. 1979 is the year I was born.

Well, I think mine is self explanatory.  I love to shoe shop.  I love to shop in general, but shoe shopping is my fave.  I always said, if law school didn't work out and I didn't want to go back to school, I'd be a personal shopper.

I always think of my school mascot when I see your name! I was an Akron Zip and our mascot was Zippy the kangroo.

I like sparkly stuff. I'm like a fish, and I get distracted by anything that has the slightest amount of shininess to it. Also BF jokes about wanting to get a pet bear and name it Sparkles. I was born in 1988, so that's where the numbers come from.

Amsy is my nickname, and i liked robots at one point.  I thought amsybot was cute.  It kind of reminds me of the botlfy though.  When I think of that, I think of the poor desert mice that are infested with giant botfly maggots

When I was younger I used to love the name skyler. I don't know why I loved it or even where I first heard it. 1108 is my birthday which is November 8th.

I used to be a radio deejay. When I started there, I wanted to have a cute on air name, so I decided to go with a shortened version of my full name - Bella. My show was called "Bella on the B-Side", meaning I played the songs that mainstream radio did not play. When our station switched to a clock format (playing certain genres of music at certain times), I changed my name and my show - B-Side Bella on Braveology ("Braveology" being the nickname of our station's formatting).

Mine is what my dad used to call me (M-L-E) because it sounds like my name (Emily) and kathleen is my middle.

My initials are M.L.  I always used to use the alias EmmElle for anything I did online, but a few years ago I shortened it.  I like Elle by itself better.

The 1036 has no real meaning.  I used the series of numbers for some unknown reason in my first AIM screen name and it stuck.

Mine's self explanatory. It's my name, when my parents named me Abigail they wanted me to be called that. When I got in school the teachers shortened it to Abby, Abbey, Abi, Abbie, Abbee, you name it. My parents HATED it. At first I liked it because I felt like I got this cool new name every first day of school, but now I hate it too. So now I put Abigail on everything. 

BTW nobody name your kid abby. It rhymes with EVERYTHING! Crabby Abby, Gabby Abby, Flabby Abby, Abby Dabby Doo, etc.

Allusive was the SAT word of the day in H.S. when I created my first AIM account. I decided 007 (as in Bond, James Bond) was a pretty "hard to catch" guy...so Allusive007 was born. (although later I realized I had spelled it wrong and it should have been elusive .) Guess it stuck anyway.
