Bride Walk Down Aisle Alone?

My father is deceased, and I really don't want a brother or other male (or female) relative/friend to walk down the aisle with me. I also don't like the idea of the groom and bride walking together. Can I walk alone, or is this really not appropriate? (It's not a church wedding.)

I see absolutely no reason why you shouldn't walk alone if that's what you want to do.

It's entirely possible that I will walk alone, as my father is deceased as well, and my grandfathers, and I don't want to single out one of my uncles. If I ask anyone it will be my mother.

Since you've said there really isn't anyone else you'd ask, you really don't have a choice, do you?

Me too. I voted "yes" by accident also.   I think it is perfectly fine to walk by yourself.

It's your wedding; you can do whatever you like! My father was not in the picture while I was growing up, so I have decided to either walk alone, or have my mother walk with me.

i accidently clicked yes on the survey :S mean to click no!  I see no reason why you cant walk down alone. Do what feeds right to you

What I meant is NO --- there is nothing wrong with walking down by yourself! 

My parents are (messily) divorced and my father has said he might not even come - so I may just decide to walk alone instead of leaving it up to the fickle.
