Relax.  You've done everything you possibly could, and it's out of your hands.  Making yourself sick isn't going to help anything.

If you don't get it, life clearly just has other plans for you.  It will be fine, wonderful even, either way.

Elle is on the right path, you've done all you can and now its in someone else's hands.  If you don't get it, its not the end.  Till then get out and do something to keep your mind from dwelling!  Anything NOT related to what it is that you are anxious about.  GOOD LUCK!

Did you do your best?  Did you work as hard as you could?  (And I know the answer is yes).

That's it.  Lyn and Elle are right.  It's out of your hands.  I was seriously crushed when I got rejected from my top choice grad school.  Two days later, I got accepted somewhere else (that has a yearly trip to Indonesia!!!)  Point being, if you don't get in, there's something bigger and better waiting for you.  And if not, you can beat me up.

Like Calindi said on another board this morning (and I'm paraphrasin) 'It will be ok in the end, if it's not ok, it's not the end.' Rejoice in the fact you've done everything you possibly could, and just see what happens. Knottie vibes sent your way!

Take a nice, long bath.  Read a book.  Go buy some "fancy" underwear.
    I'm not good at feelings.

I agree with Audgie, fancy panties can make a day awesome.  Not only will you have the distracting excitement of picking out awesome panties, but you'll be able to look forward to wearing them!!

Relax and wait for your future to come to you, don't freak out too much about it (a little bit is ok).

Hang in there!  I know where you are - I remember when we were waiting to hear if the Marines let in my guy for the JAG program.  He was a nervous wreck, going between being manically happy and excited, very moody and grumpy and withdrawn, and angry at everyone around him.  Oh, he was a real peach for a few days there!

You'll be okay!  Chances are, you'll get it!  And we'll all be super happy and celebrate with you!!! If you don't get it for any reason, you'll get it next year.  And if the worst case happens and you don't get it next year, it really truly isn't the end of the world.  You will still go to law school, and you will get the commission during law school (as I've seen at least a half dozen people in my guy's law school class do over the last year).  You will be okay, I promise!  It will all work out!

There's probably a 60% chance you'll get it this year, if you've trained as hard as you say!  Women get priority usually as there are fewer who go for the slots.  And there's probably a 75% chance you'll get it either this summer or next summer (probably better than that).  I would bet a lot of money on those odds!  You'll be just fine!!!

    You're all the best.
It truly is out of my hands, and although it would be the most major bummer of my life (thus far), it's not the end of the world.
Calindi, I forgot your FI is in JAG! I'd love to hear more about that if the day comes, which we will see soon...

I hope I come back with good news and wicked fancy underwear!!

I completely agree with Elle. You've done your best and stressing will only drive you crazy, it won't do anything with the outcome.

Find some mindless internet games or watching some horribly trashy TV to keep your mind off it.

    Good luck hun.

When you find out that you got in, let me know!  I'm happy to put you in touch with my guy, but you're Air Force, yes?  Marines are a bit different as they train as regular Infantry Commanders, but I think the Air Force program is very similar to the Army and Navy programs.  We know people with JAG commissions from most of the branches, so I'm happy to have my guy find you someone who can give you some idea of what the program is like.

I wish I was coming her with some good news. :(
%60 of the cadets in each detachmentwere selected, about 80% were technical majors.
I'll be trying again next year, unfortunately.
Calindi, I will still keep that in mind because whether or not I commission through ROTC or OTS, I'm going JAG!!

Sorry to hear that Alanna, I'm glad to see that you're staying positive and giving it another try.  While it didn't happen today it will happen later.
