BF was in the ok-kisser, great at everything else camp.  But I was kinda out of practice when we first got together.  Once I got the "rust off" it got GREAT FAST!

He came from a long relationship, 12 years - high school sweethearts etc, so maybe that's why he was good.

Elle--no worries. BF and I are still working on it some. It's getting better. In fact, recently, it's pretty great! He's got some of that classic male ego and it's pretty fragile, so at first when I tried to tell him what I liked or I didn't, ya know, get there, he'd take it really personally. I don't think any of his prior GFs were very good "teachers," or just liked totally the opposite of what I liked. Also, he had a dry spell of about 2 years before me.

Coastie--Totally agree with you about kissing! So important.

    PENIS!

Speaking of teaching people techniques- makes me think of a story that in turn makes me laugh. This BF I had right before I met DH, SUCKED and I mean SUCKED in bed. Although his bedroom technique was about as interesting as his personality (yeah this one last about a month....) While in the relationship I told my friend how terrible he was. Her response "You should teach him. His next girlfriend will appreciate it." I laughed then. I will laugh now. Typically while in a relationship you don't want to think about your BF with anyone else, but at that time I think I already knew that it was going nowhere.

BF is my first so I have no one to compare him to, so it's great for me! He had one other sexual partner so he was more experienced than me and he taught me some things.
