Random Fun Fact - Bridezillas

I am a serious lurker ...but while watching Bridezillas (it's been a long day) I noticed there is a couple, Brittany (?) and MIke... well she looks so familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it. Well I finally figured out there she is actually a poster on here: nottheonlydreamer44 incase you're curious. I'm like 95% it's her. Wedding in April, fiance Mike... It's quite interesting. 

Very random but entertaining. 

Anyone remember her?

Haha, I'm watching that same episode right now! When she mentioned she met that blonde girl that's helping with her wedding on a "Wedding Forum", I immediately thought of the Knot! I haven't been here long enough to remember any former posters, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's her!

I don't think I've ever seen her post, but according to TK search (lol) she is having an Asian influence for her theme...does that sound like it?

She stopped posting back around January. I'm not sure what her theme is, but she has posted a few pictures of herself in her dress and it's definitely her.

What I don't understand is what is going through their minds when they agree to be on this show. I mean, if someone came up to me and said, "Hey, we're doing a reality TV show called 'Ugly White Girls', and we'd love to feature you and your family on our show." I wouldn't exactly be jumping at the bit like "Hell yeah! I'd love to be on your show." I mean, I know they probably get a very pretty paycheck, but at what expense? Being viewed by millions of viewers at home who are sitting there going "Wow, what a #$%^ed up crazy betch!"

Of course - all of the brides are paid to appear on the show. I'm sure some of the meltdowns are real, but I really think most women play up to the cameras or are told to bring the crazy.

It seems like they pick a story line and over do it. NTOD was probably playing up the "I have no money" card and do things that make people stunned like pay with pennies or buy lotto tickets, etc. I didn't think (at least in this week's episode) anything she did was really all that bad... She is the mellowest BZ I have seen. 

And lurker Rosen, if you know this much about posters to identify one who hasn't been here in 8 months you should probably just start posting more.

Suzy is crazy. Absolutely BSC. I agree with PP, though, Brittany didn't really seem very "Zilla" at all. I mean, she had some irksome little remarks, but that seems common with any bride once stress gets to be enough (and most of the stress of a wedding is money-related).

However, pairing her in the same episode with Suzy makes her look like a Saint. Suzy is crazy... Brittany is just reasonably stressed, IMO.

It's actually quite ironic that it's called REALITY TV considering there's nothing realistic about it...

Most of the bridezillas really do think the world owes them something but Brittany is just hilarious... If you actually knew her you'd recognize the sarcasm for what it was and you'd know that the show is just twisting things around.

She used to post here on a pretty regular basis. There was a big blowup (I honestly don't remember what over anymore), but she ended up bailing after she went off on some of the reg posters and called one of the OG a f*ing c*nt.

Needless to say, good riddance.

I LOVE NTOD's hairpiece. Sunbird did a fantastic job.

Regardless of what went down on the board, I have actually met NTOD IRL and honestly, she's one of the nicest, sweetest people I've ever met.

I just tried to watch the clip that was posted and it wouldn't let me. I've never seen it on TV here, but BF and I haven't had cable for about 6 months. Too bad, it would be fun to watch when I need to zone out for a while!

I'm sorry, I'm sure she's probably got some redeeming qualities (because, honestly, I think every person has at least <em>one</em>), but that's not an acceptable name to call <em>anyone</em> around here. Period. You call someone that, all your redeeming qualities go out the window for me.

I remember her. She was one of the first people I talked to on here. She was a total sweetheart (except for the bad episode of namecalling). She had told us she had issues with depression and/or bipolar, if I remember correctly. I feel for her and hope she is getting the help she needs.

I'm not going to say it was cool for her to call anyone a f***ing c***, but I don't feel it negates her good qualities. Most of us have had moments on TK or IRL that weren't our finest, even though that was a particularly bad one.

I'm not condoning what she said, but I just wanted people to know that despite how she came off on the board and on TV, she actually is a nice person.

I was on TK back when she was still around, but I think it was during my "down-time". FI and I had decided we want to wait a little longer before getting engaged, so in order to keep myself from getting antzy or feeding the BSC, I very rarely ever logged on.

I guess I don't understand editing.  I never knew that editing can put words in someone's mouth. 

And sarcastic or not, there are many things in that short clip that I would never say to my husband or people that I supposedly care about.
