I am so stunned she sent them back! I mean, I thought maybe your post was going to end, "she told so-and-so she didn't like them" but NEVER did I think anyone would send back a handmade gift!

What a brat. I can't believe someone would do that! Well, actually, I wouldn't be surprised if my cousin's FI did that. They would make a great pair. And I agree with Ana, she doesn't deserve them. I wouldn't send anything if I was your mom.

Personally, I would send her a greeting card that said, "we weren't sure what kind of gift card would go with your decor, so we've decided to not send any", but I'm an uppity bizotch like that.

[QUOTE]I don't know what's wrong with her. She is going to "theme" dress her baby at all times. WTF? Dumbest thing ever. Just seeing those makes my lady parts say, BABY. Seriously, she's a douche, I hope she poops herself when she gives birth.

LMFAO!!!!
And on a side note, hetshup, I thought of you when I was working on my Art History homework... :) Ancient Egypt FTW.

And OMG HOW RUDE!!! I am an artist/craftwoman and I would have a fit if someone SENT BACK anything I made as a gift! Even macaroni art. I don't care if you stick it in a closet, regift, or give it to someone less fortunate, but seriously, don't be such a jerk to the crafter. Narwhal, I'm sure you could get a bidding war on ebay going, esp if you told the torrid tale of the rejected baby booties in the post.

Wow! The booties are adorable. AND she gets NOTHING! If you haven't sent the giftcard I wouldn't send anything. Maybe just a card or one of those "money cards" with nothing in it. Or maybe an empty gift card envelope. Wow!

That's so sad! They're adorable! And it was an incredibly thoughtful thing your sister did. What a nasty wench!

And what Hetshup said is totally dead on - are they going to dress the kid to match the decor all the time?! Do they return any item that doesn't match their perfectly chosen color scheme?

"Sorry Aunt Marge, but the outfit you sent is red. Little Timmy will only be wearing blue and green, with a nautical theme. Please return and find something suitable."

I am in complete shock that someone would actually do this!! #1 Asking for gift cards only is so white-trashish and #2 to actually SEND IT BACK!! O.M.G. Even if you don't like something...sending it back is sooo terrible. I would just send her an empty card.

If your sister doesn't want them, I would totally ask to send them to Mutley. They're blue, which means they're perfect for almost any decor (unless of course she's going to decorate her child's room BLACK, and even then some blacks and blues aren't so bad together).

I can't believe she sent them back. I got some stuff at our showers that wasn't on our registry and we didn't really want/need, but I smiled and said thank you and wrote a thank you note, and then took it all to goodwill so someone that needed it could have it. NEVER do you give something back. How rude. I would definitely send a card to be nice, but no gift at all.

Well, I'm appalled. Those booties are adorable.

I'm actually kinda sad that you have to (possibly?) convince your mom to not send a gift card anyway. Bad behavior should not be rewarded.

I would send her ass some baby wipes to clean up her shitty attitude.

That biitch spent money to send back a hand made gift?! Eff her, she should get nothing. I would send a card with a smarta$$ comment about "sorry we didn't get a giftcard as we figured you would be as picky about where you shop as you are coordinating your childs wardrobe and we didn't want you to have to go through the hassle of sending it back to us if it was not right".

Narwhal, tell your mother that she better not send that biitch anything... unless it is a box of shiit that is!

JOINER! CUT IT OUT! Make sure the little box at the top of the page that says "Sort by most recent post" is unclicked. Then don't post on anything that doesn't come up on the top page, k? Okay, good.
