Hawaii

Hi everyone... I'm starting to plan for a trip. For those of you who have been to Hawaii (big island) or Kauai or have researched a lot about it... what are some good resorts on those islands that you've stayed at or heard about?? I know I can post this elsewhere too, but I just wanted to see if any of you had any suggestions! Thanks :)

We stayed here when I went on a band trip. It was fantastic. The rooms are great. The service is amazing. The beach there is awesome too. It's well within walking distance.

That's funny- I stayed there for my senior trip in 2002! It was awesome. But I'm looking for the Big Island or Kauai..

It's the same hotel chain, so I'm guessing that it would be pretty awesome too. :)

I went to BI last year and we stayed at the Holua Resort at the Mauna Loa village, but it's more of a timeshare/condo property, but we really enjoyed it.  We are planning a trip to Kauai in March also and are staying in a similar property to the one we stayed at on the BI.

But I stayed at the Aston Waikiki too when we went to Oahu a few years ago.

Based on the Kauai recs on the Hawaii board that I post in there are some suggestions for:

    St. Regis Princeville (pricey)
    Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas
Poipu Beach at the Koa Kea
