sleep trouble

I'm having a hard time staying asleep and have had nightmares the last three nights. Every time I have 5 minutes to myself (like driving to work) I find myself overcome with sadness and tearing up. Last night, after an hour of feeling super cranky, I burst into tears as I was falling asleep.  I think it's related to my BFF's shitty antics from Sunday. How do I deal with this? I haven't felt this blue in a long time.

Have you adjusted any of your meds? (If you are on meds??) Having creepy nightmares usually comes hand in hand with an increase in serotonin....weird, I know.

  • I'm sorry that you are feeling blue. :( I hope some of our murried ladies come on and give some insight on whether or not they think this is just wedding related stress. Stress sucks.

I would recommend a couple baths a week...and maybe finding 20 minutes in the morning and evening for yourself to meditate, do yoga...whatever feels like you are nurturing yourself.

And if that doesn't seem to do it...I would look into GABA that you can get at any "natural" grocery store.

  • Your zebra made me laugh out loud in my cube... it's exactly how I"m feeling.

I'll see if I can't find some GABA when I get off work. I'll plan on yoga after dinner, then a hot bath.

  • I'd say try some exercise or things you enjoy to relax. If that doesn't help, I'd recommend going to a doctor. That just doesn't sound good.

Has anything like this happened before?

Yeah at the last major ex-file breakup. I was a wreck for months. I'm afraid of that  starting, especially because I have my wedding and honeymoon to look forward to.
