Not Engaged Yet

Getting Engaged Picture Idea.

A friend of mine just got engaged and her now fiance had the cutest idea that I thought I'd share for anyone planning on proposing.

There isn't always someone there to take a picture of you two during or after the proposal so this is what my friend's bf did...

They were on vacation and he found a pretty spot, asked her to take a picture with him so they could get the view in the background (you know, the cheesy hold the camera out a take a picture of yourselves type). In the picture he had the engagement ring on his pinky and his arm wrapped around her shoulder. He told her after the proposal so they'd always have that moment in a picture - it's so cute!

That is super cute. I told my BF I would like a picture. I don't know if I will get one but oh well.

I don't get it. I mean its not the actual moment. They could do that anytime.

Haha Beth that is true. I think I would be more impressed by the sneekyness, because I really think I would notice if my BF put on a pinky ring when we were together.

Sure, the couple could do that anytime, but it would lose the meaning.  It would be like having a fake Fendi purse.

I actually don't want a picture.  I just want the moment.  We've talked about generalities, and all I've said is that I want it personal and private.  I want a few moments alone before we start calling everyone.  So I very much doubt someone else will be there to snap a picture, but we'll take some smiling pictures right afterwards I'm sure.

I can agree to some extent with Beth here. But, it would be cute to look back at a photo and say to yourself "Wow, I had no idea that he was about to propose when this picture was taken".

I can agree with both sides here...

that would be an awesome picture to have forever...

But me and calindi have the same idea, me and BF prefer things to be much more private. We forgot our camera when we went on vacation to cozumel && we had the best time of our lives...who cares if we didn't come back and post 1000 pics on fb, we will ALWAYS have our memories.

One of my best GFs got engaged on a beach this summer -- her FI had his brother-in-law out on a pier with a zoom lens taking photos of the whole thing and then he gave her an album of the pictures for her birthday :) The photos are awesome!
