Finally! Finally! FINALLY!

I GOT A JOB!!!!! I got the job at the animal inn/boarding house!!! I start on Monday!!! I get to work with doggies all day!!! EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!! 

I'm starting out pretty much at the bottom, which is as an "activities coordinator" (read: dog walker), but think about all the exercise I'll get! ;-)

It's not their peak season (that hits around June/July), so I'm part time for now - 20 to 30 hours a week, at $8.50 an hour (which is well above minimum wage in NJ). BUT - once the peak season is in full swing, my hours go from part time to full time, and after 6 months I might get a pay raise! I also will have opportunities to advance and learn how to become a groomer!!

I am so excited. I found out while I was in the middle of food shopping and I did a dance in the middle of the aisle. Another shopper saw me dancing and said I looked like I just won the lottery. I told him, "I just found out I got a job after 5 months of unemployment". He said, "Oh, so you did win the lottery!"

I've been smiling all day. It's a steady job, with a steady paycheck! No more temp agency! No more wondering! I'm still going to look into jobs in the broadcasting industry (which is what my degree is in) but for now I'm incredibly happy to have this position!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!

    That is super awesome , congrats!! I know how relieving it is to know about having a steady income and look at it this way - things can only go up ! I am so happy for you yay !!
