Thursday Workout

I am again waiting until after work to do my workout since today is Yoga and it takes an hour and a half.

I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be from Legs & Back, but I did it last week too so I think that helped. I am definitely looking forward to loosening up my muscles with a nice long stretch though! : )

How's everyone else doing today?

  • I'd just like to say that I kept running in to issues last night and it would have been so easy to put off my exercise, but I pushed through and did it anyway. I'm so proud that I managed to still do my step last night!

I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do tonight. I'd really love to go for a walk, but I don't have anyone to watch the girls. I guess I could try another one of the Zumba DVDs I have.

  • I feel the need to confess I have been terrible. I haven't done any work out in a week and a half now. I've been feeling down, and now I'm catching a cold which makes me want to sleep constantly.

On a positive note, I've been eating much better and today I tried my summer clothes on to see if there is even a chance they will fit me for my trip in a month and THEY FIT! It's a tight squeeze into some, and I have noticeable rolls with two pairs of shorts, but a few weeks ago I couldn't even do them up so this is progress! Hopefull this will be my motivtion to get back to the gym and then me and BF can look good in swimsuits for Dominican (he's doing much better at working out than I am).

I plan on taking my dog for a walk tonight as my exercise since it's been a while and he loves his walks :)

I think we all go through periods of time where we fall out of our schedule a bit, but that is awesome that you are fitting into your shorts better! : ) Guys always do better at working out and losing weight than girls do, I think. It's so not fair, lol.

That is awesome!! I'm going to remember this tonight when I feel like I should be getting ready for FI's dad to come visit instead of doing yoga. I WILL do it, lol. I love Zumba, but I keep forgetting not to do it barefoot. I always end up with rug burn on my feet, lol.

  • Did arms and shoulders yesterday, today is yoga after work as well.  I'll be thinking of you Ely when I'm stretching out!  My shoulders and triceps are a little sore, but man it was a good work out last night.  I was suppose to do yoga this morning but Danish man didn't set his alarm since we have to take Maus to puppy class tonight.  Guess I'll stay home and do yoga while he takes Maus to class.

Have you done the Yoga dvd before? I love how I feel after it's all done, even though an hour and a half seems horrible when you have other things to do, lol.

How's your bruise from your puppy accident? What do you think of the class? I've always wondered how well the classes work.

This is the first time I'm doing the Yoga X.  I've done hot yoga and regular yoga before but this is also a first time for Danish Man doing yoga period.  I like how much more felxible I get when I do yoga.  To be honest I need to stretch out my sore muscles.

The bruise from Maus' unicorn nub is a nice red brown color.  Main it was purple and blue a few days ago.  The puppy obedience class is awesome.  Maus is a quick learner and so she can sit or lay down and stay till we give her the command to get up and move.  This comes in handy when need her to stay put while we do something that requires to stay out of our way.  She's in intermediate and then there's advanced and after that we plan to take her to agility classes.

Well, let me know how this compares to other yoga because I've only done Tonyoga! lol ... That puppy class sounds pretty cool. I really wish I had a puppy to take to a class like that! What will the agility classes do?

Tonyoga....*giggles* I'll give a report in tomorrow's work out update.

Agility classes are the ones that teaches a dog in this case Maus how to follow cues to run between poles, up and down planks, through tunnels and jump over poles.  You mostly see herding dogs compete in agility competitions, but we want to do it with Maus to keep her Weimy brain occupied else she gets into mischief when she's bored.  Plus it'll be a great active sport to do with Maus because we would have to run all over the obstacle course with her to give her cues and helps her bond closer to us and establish who's the pack leader.  In Danish Man's eye the pack structure is me at the top Danish Man and then Maus.

Do you really call him Danish Man IRL? Lol, because that's the coolest nickname, even if it's pretty obvious why, lol.

Hahaha yeah all of our friends know him as Danish Man.  I refer to FI that way a majority of the time when I'm with close friends.  Some friends even use it as well.  Two of my BMs use it as in "So what are you and the Danish Man doing tonight?"

  • So I got stuck at work late last night and didn't exercise at all (other than a 10 min walk each way to Target).

Tonight I have dance from 6:30pm to 10pm. Tap, jazz, and contemporary. I wanted to bring my heart monitor to see how many calories it thinks I burn, but I forgot.

I also went to the doctor today about my back. She wants me to take a prescription anti-inflammatory for 10 days and the physical therapist gave me some exercises to help increase flexibility in my spine.
  • i love this dailty post it really holds me accountable.  I am leaving shortly to head to an audition for a show that's pretty dance heavy ( a musical) so I expect to dance tonight. So depending on how long I dance and when I get home will depends on what I do.

I did twenty minutes of abs works out last though.

  • I didn't end up getting to Yoga tonight. Since FI's dad is a loser and decided work is more important than family, I ended up getting dressed up and running to town to get a few ingredients to make a special salmon dinner for FI and on the way back I left a little note in his car. I also rented a movie for us to watch tonight and he doesn't know it yet but he's getting a back rub, lol.

I figure that I can make up Yoga on Sunday since we don't have much planned this weekend and I think this is more important right now.
