Not Engaged Yet

Would you buy this?

Clearly, I'm terrible at leaving when I say I will ;)

I've been drooling over some dishes for a few weeks. They're unique, but still in a neutral colour but with a neat design. They're currently on sale, and I have a $90 gift card to the store.

Now, I don't need dishes right now. At all. But I love them. So, would you buy them if you were in my shoes?

I realize they aren't for everyone... but I adore them :)
I suppose I just feel silly buying dishes when my family already has some. But I'm going to need them at some point, and they can still be used now.
BF has been telling me for weeks to just buy them already since it's clear I want to. I'm trying to think of any downsides first.

They are beautiful!  I would totally buy them.  I still live at home but I own pretty dishes.  Sometimes I use them.  But I can't wait to move out and use them!

    Yes, pic please!

Even without seeing the pic, though, with $90 toward them, if I loved them, I'd probably go for it.

Uhm, you just went through (are going through) a crappy, sad time. Buy something pretty right now. RIGHT NOW. The less practical the better.

Those are super pretty. If you feel like it won't break you, do it! If you do feel like the expense is too much, I say spend the $90 credit you have on something else that's really pretty and impractical. :)

Apparently, we're terrible at breaking up because we spent the past few days talking about what happened. I realized then that he had no idea what was going on because I hadn't bothered to say anything to him. Once we both got all of that out in the air, we decided it was worth another shot. Basically, it was poor communication.

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you had a positive talk, and that things are better. Similar thing happened to BF and I 2 years ago. Except we only stayed broken up for 20 minutes (we failed at breaking up even more than you and your BF did). Ultimately, it was the best thing that could have happened for us.

Also, BUY THE DISHES! Seriously. It sounds like a great deal, and I think they're pretty.

For those of you that wanted to know where they're from it's from the Ever Grateful Collection by Dayspring.

It's a Christian store, but not all of the pieces in the collection have explicitly religious messages on them. They have cute placemats that say "love and laughter gather here" for example.

Ok, is there a difference in the dishes that you would have to pay?
