Family dislikes me

 Hi,,  My boyfriend and I have been together 4 years . We are not yet engaged but will be in the near future. I'm 41 and divorced my ex 's family was the only family I had besides my children and now of course there are bitter feelings and no communication. I have a very disfunctional family that I am not close to. My issue is,
my boyfriends family do not like me. I am not sure how this will effect me, I am terribly disappionted and extremely sad.I just don't know what to do. Any advice??

    Maybe it has something to do with the fact that this relationship came out of an affair.

    Could it be because you were still married when you started dating? And from another thread...     I missed it when it aired and still haven't caught it. I've been trying to avoid spoilers, I don't like them any more than River Song does, but I'm starting to get antsy lol.

    OP, I'm pretty sure affairs are universally looked down upon, soooo...I think you're FUBAR. That being said, I think we should turn this into a Doctor Who thread. The Christmas special was really cute!! Matt Smith + small children = adorbz. Simply Fated, watch it asap! I don't know what cable provider you have, but it might be On Demand. Or it could also be on the BBC website.
