Walking down the aisle Music... any ideas?!

Getting married in June.... hopefully outside by a lake... any ideas for music?... not a fan of the traditional wedding march...

  • Try www.weddingwire.com/weddingsongs

they have a great selection for the entire wedding.

  • We're walking down to "Your Everything" by Keith Urban.  We also considered "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait, "You & Me" by Lifehouse, and "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain among others.

  • I thought about something more modern like "seasons of love" by the shiny toy guns, but decided on Air by Bach. My bridesmaids are walking in to the first one... My fiance kept hinting he wanted me to walk down the aisle to a classical song with no lyrics. :) And I wasn't sure what i wanted to do, so why not??
  • I found Amazon.com to be useful. I'd like to walk down to Pachelbel's Canon, but couldn't find a version I liked. i searched tons of wedding cds on Amazon and still had trouble. Finally, I just did a search for Pachelbel's Canon and the website brought up tons of versions and I found one that way. And you can purchase the MP3s for only $0.99 rather than buying a whole cd for one or two songs. :-)

  • I want to walk down the aisle to something a little more fun, not really into the traditional wedding march song.  If anyone knows any good websites to find instrumental versions of modern songs I'd like to know.
  • My WP walked to "More than Anyone" by Gavin Degraw (the stripped version) and I walked to "On a Night Like This" by Dave Barnes.  Both were played by my pianist, but you could do CD easily, the lyrics are nice.

More than Anyone has a nice fun beat...it really set the tone well.

I didn't want the traditional version of the bridal march but found a version I LOVE! It is the Bridal March by Jonathon Cain. His website has a version you can downlaod free. There is no official sheetmusic but Music Notes had a copy and it is better than nothing. (They won't allow recorded music at my church). A friend told me about this arrangement is it is absolutely beautiful!!!
