Well, I'm probably doing EVERYTHING out of order - but... I'm okay with that! I've already got my dress (!!) and now we've got invites! They are from Michaels - $25 for 50 invites. The packages come with the invite, reply card and 'fancy' envelope! It also comes with the white ribbon, but I'm going to use a teal ribbon instead to tie in both colors! They are definitely going to be a big DIY printing project - but, I think they're so pretty and simplistic! I thought I would want to get some online that come to me printed, etc... but, I couldn't pass up the price of these (with my coupons they were like $.25/invite)!
What do you think?
Anybody else doing/do these and have hints/tips for printing? Obviously THAT'S a long way off, but, I'll ask now! :-)

For printing. That was easy. In the document if you set it to the same size as your invite it should print perfectly.
Also the ribbon - when you feed it through the holes the ends will fray a little bit. I also changed the ribbon color on mine. I bought a wheel (with a blade for cutting... not sure what its really called) but it worked really well for giving the ribbon a nice clean cut.
My biggest headache was the response card. I was using word and I couldn't figure out (if there even is a way) to split the document in half so I had a lot of trial and error there before it was posistioned correctly on the card.
Good luck!
That is all
[QUOTE]I have always loved damask too! Back in the day (like, 4 months ago before I actually had a 'reason reason' to plan a wedding) I thought i wanted black and white damask with teal accents... I'm still getting a little damask! :-) And it still speaks 'spring' to me

That's basically my plan, are you in my brain!?!???!!!! lol
And I'm sad about my lack of inviteness.
I'm scared to bring the full invite to the post office to find out postage.
Also, my uncle is a Postmaster and he said that anything with any sort of bulk is at least 66 cents. BUT the good news is that there won't be any postage hikes this year so we are slowly buying all of our stamps over the next several months and they will last us until after our wedding next January.
Good luck!

Hopefully my bow isn't too bulky.. and I don't know what else would go with the invite except the RSVP card... unless I add another card with accomodation information --- o gosh, should I do that? Half the guest list is out of town....
What else would maybe need to go in the invite? I know some people do maps, but, eh, I think they can do that on their own!

This for once is not at the fault of mapquest. My venue is a private country club and awhile back the president changed the address because he liked how Mississippi River Boulevard sounded over Otis Avenue. The only possible way to access the club is from Otis but directions will tell you to turn on M.R.B and you would then more or less be f-ed.
moonlight - I don't honestly remember/know what's in my bio but my colors are teal, orange and purple (a wine-y purple)
There is nothing that says that you need to include an informational card. If you don't think you need it consider it one less headache to deal with.
