New Addition

Hi ladies. 
Sorry I've been a lil MIA lately.  (Had some MAJOR drama around Valentine's Day).  In response to that I want to tell you that we are working on things and going very slowly.
In the meantime I am trying to do what you all said and build a life for myself "just in case" and decided that I want a puppy. 
I wasn't expecting to find one right away, but lo and behold I did and I wanted to share with you all because you have all been so helpful!

My theory is, if you start looking for a pet you will inevitably come home with one the same day. They're just too cute!

Thanks ladies. 
It's a little boy.  he was born January 3, 2011.
I am thinking of either Percy or Dexter for names.  I have no idea why, I just like those.
I am open to suggestions on names, though, so feel free to shoot em out to me.
I am "that" puppy mom and will spoil him rotten I am sure.  I just hope the weather holds out till saturday when I'm supposed to go get him.  We are expected to get MORE nasty winter weather.  I AM NOT A FAN!

Oh yeah, he is a yorkie and had a check up with the vet on Tuesday and weighs 1.6 pounds!  LOL

I love the name Dexter! A friend of mine has pets with Hawaiian names...like the work beautiful in Hawaiian or something. Kind of a cool idea. If I think of any others, I'll let you know.

I used to be a manager at a bookstore, and one night, the author of that book called up to see if we'd put out promotional materials for her new book, Why Men Marry Bitches. We ended up chatting for like 45 minutes, and she sent me a free copy of the book. I <3 her for taking the time to talk to a random stranger, and for actually mailing me the copy of the book that she promised. I think her books are definitely worth a read, but like any other self help book, should be taken with a grain of salt. :)

Exactly my feelings on the subject! Her books have really helped me be more confident, both for myself, and within my relationship.

ETA: And that is super cool of her to take the time to talk to you and send you the book!

Am I the only one who thinks she should go with Percy instead of Dexter?

Dexter's a popular pet name right now because of the TV show, and I think it's a great name, but I always prefer the more unique.  Plus...
