Airlines are so Frustrating!

So, I'm going to California tomorrow and I get a called from the airline 5 minutes ago telling me that part of my flight itinerary no longer exists, aka that route has been discontinued.

Now I'm going out of a different airport. We had picked Santa Ana because we didn't want to deal with LAX and now I have no choice. Plus on top of it all I fly out of LAX and my BF flies out of Santa Ana for business at the same time. BF kindly thought that we'd spend time together at the airport before he had to go on his work trip. Now we have to figure out how to get each of us to different airports in LA.

Sigh, oh well don't have to worry about this for 2 weeks.

Sorry to vent, I just hate when they do this.

Can you see if flying in Long Beach airport is possible.  LBC and SNA are about 15-20 miles from one another.  So you don't have to deal with LAX. I'm sorry to hear that the airlines have messed up your plans.  Good luck, if you can't fly into LBC there are flyaways and community shuttle buses that go in between.

I really want a Passengers Bill of Rights like they have in Europe!  There, if they screw with your flight through no fault of the passenger, they have to cover food, lodging, reasonable fees to cover adjustment to travels, and even financial reimbursement depending on the situation.

    Sorry!!!!

We have one...it's called the Contract of Carriage.  You should be able to look it up online, it varies from airline to airline but overall it is all the same.  Schedule changes are bad news, but I agree with PP who suggested LGB...it should be smack in the middle of both airports.  Good luck!!!

Yeah, I doubt Long Beach is an option. This is a flight based on points, so I have my hands tied even more. I'll deal with it once I reach Cali.
