You were the one who got Sims Medieval, right? How is it? Do you need Sims 3 to get it? How many discs is it to install (Sims 2 came with 4 installation discs)? Give me a full report! I'm dying to know!!

Me too! I LOVE the Sims, but I was uneasy about getting Medieval. So gimme details so I can figure out if I should buy it or not! XD

(On a side note, I just realized my brother's ex-girlfriend still has my Sims 2 game. And he just moved to Florida. Crap. Bet I'm not getting that back.)

Yes, I have it and so does Deb! We both seem to like it.

You do NOT need Sims 3, and it's entirely different from Sims 3. It isn't an expansion or anything like that. Just one installation disk and one play disc.

I love it. It's still Sims-like, but in a different way. Instead of playing as one family, you play more as "the Watcher" who is creating a new kingdom. You then have a monarch to start playing as, and you switch between various characters (the Monarch, Blacksmith, Doctor, Wizard, Priests, Market Owner, Knight, Spy, Bard... might be more) and you play quests. The quests you play affect the outcome of your kingdom.

I definitely find myself spending less time decorating a house (errr... castle) and less time on family stuff and more time actually playing the game and doing things actively. If you've played Sims 3 Adventures, it's similar to those ideas of quests. But I like these quests better.

The art is different as well. The graphics ar egood, but done in a more medieval style. It's kind of hard to explain without you playing it, because I read up on it before I bought it and I was still surprised. But I do enjoy the game play.

One thing that really bugs me- your kids don't grow up. They're NPCs.
