Might as well use this to get to know you, since I don't know much!

How old are you?  How old is your SO?

    How'd you meet?

    What do you do (school/work)?

Are you an animal person?  Have any pets?

What's your dream job (completely unrealistic & a more realistic one)?

If you were handed $5,000 today, what would you do with that money?

Where was your best vacation ever?

What are you having for dinner tonight?

The end.  I'm not that creative today :)
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

How old are you?  How old is your SO?
I'm 28, SO (Greg) is 35. We feel so old!

    How'd you meet?
We met through match.com. Our first meeting was our first date, exactly 1 week after we initially emailed. On our first date my roommate ended up coming with us because her BF stood her up. Greg felt so bad that she was all dressed up, too, with no where to go, that he insisted that she come. I knew then he was a keeper.

    What do you do (school/work)?
I'm a nurse on a surgical unit. I see a lot of gross stuff, and I like it that way. I'm also working on my masters in nursing, ETA graduation is this December. Not sure what I want to do with the M.S. yet, but I have ideas of integrating my previous business career with nursing somehow.

Are you an animal person?  Have any pets?
I love animals! I've had every pet in the world, including a dog, a cat, sugar gliders, hamsters, gerbils, even a chameleon. Currently, my dog is living with my parents and they won't give him back. After we get married we will get a dog, but until then, I am sans furbaby (sadface).

What's your dream job (completely unrealistic & a more realistic one)?
Unrealistic: a food designer. I love to cook, and am actually pretty creative with dinner and lunch type meals. Greg's mom says he has to keep me just because of my cooking.
Realistic: Health program manager for a hospital or the city.

If you were handed $5,000 today, what would you do with that money?
Stick in savings for our wedding. While our families are stable, neither are wealthy, and I grew up being told by my parents that they would not be paying for my wedding.

Where was your best vacation ever?
I took myself, me myself and I, to Paris in 2005. It was the best because I was completely dependent on my pas mal French, creativity, and ingenuity to make it the best vacation. I made friends in my hostel that I still email. I'll never forget the beauty of the tour d'eiffel lit up at night, while sitting alone, realizing that life doesn't get any better.

What are you having for dinner tonight?
Well I lost a bet with SO last night, so I have to make whatever he wants. He has 5 hours to tell me what he wants. So.... no clue yet.

How do you like your eggs?
I OWN Amazing Scrambled Eggs, let me tell you. :) They always start with cream cheese. I then add whatever is around. Personal favorite is adding leftover chicken and green chili/pesto sauce that I concocted to the cream cheese eggy goodness.

What are you afraid of (rationally/irrationally)?
Irrational: I hate being a passenger in a car.  I get the upset stomach nauseous response every. single. time. For whatever reason my brain is convinced that the car to the right is going to hit us, and kill me. It has to do with a collision in 2005 where I shouldn't have lived.
Rational: sleeping through work. Being late is not acceptable, and will make your day hell. Not showing up will get me fired.

What's your favorite thing to do with your SO?
We have an open fire pit in his backyard. I love love love it when we build a big bonfire and sit outside with a bottle (or two) of wine and cuddle/talk.

What is the most romantic thing he's ever done?
About a month into dating, I came over and he had cleaned his house, cleaned his bathroom, and showed me that he had made room in both the bathroom and closet for my stuff. Dinner was planned out, and actually asked me to be his girlfriend with a single rose. (I was shocked that he went to all that trouble)

Do you like pickles? How about string cheese?
I'm not hot for pickles, but I don't hate them either. String cheese? Of course! I still think people who bite it, rather than string it, are wrong. FYI: String cheese also makes an easy stuffing for meatballs.

What is your favorite thing and least favorite thing about your job?

What is your favorite thing and least favorite thing about your job?
Favorite thing ever is when I get a patient, who I thought would be a BUPITA, and they unintentionally say something that ends up reminding me of why life is so sweet, and to not take it for granted. Those days are the best days.

Least favorite thing are the days I get more patients than we are supposed to, and I get the "bad" patient who is demanding, bossy, and verbally abusive, and charge nurse is lazy and unhelpful to everyone. Those days are common this time of year, and they often make me want to dramatically throw my badge across the hall, screaming I quit!. Since we are a non profit, I have to be nice to everyone (even if I am envisioning the worst ones dying from the pillow treatment).

    What are your pet peeves?

Speaking of pets, I want a sugar glider sooo bad! But I am not an animal person like yourself. Did your sugar glider(s) do anything extra wacky? Do share.

As a nurse, have you ever been freaked out by your own injury?
Actually... even though my patients say I am the best at giving shots, the sight of needles in my own arm makes feel very faint. Also, I was out running in January, then tripped and fell, and annihilated both my knees/elbows. I cried like a giant baby walking in the door because I had blood running down my legs/arms. (Insert snicker... it's ok... I laugh now.)

    What are your pet peeves?
       In this order:
    1. Men who itch themselves in public.
    2. Noisy open mouthed chewers.
    3. Dirty dishes that don't get rinsed.
    4. Patients who think I should be in their room every 5 minutes to rub their feet/fluff their pillow.

Speaking of pets, I want a sugar glider sooo bad! But I am not an animal person like yourself. Did your sugar glider(s) do anything extra wacky? Do share.
Yes, they would climb up my furniture/walls and hang out upside down on my popcorn ceiling.... and then glide and land on top of people's heads! Always worth a laugh when I needed it haha. I had to find them a better home because they kept me up all night crabbing. Someday when I have room in a bigger house I'll get another pair and so they can crab all night in their own room. :) See this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCUt5NRgpvg

    Favorite lunch food?
Hmm if I am eating out I love fajitas because it's easy to stick with the paleo diet. Today's lunch will be turkey/swiss lettuce wraps, almonds, blueberries, and cucumbers.

Favorite place to shop for clothing?
Anywhere with an amazing sale! Most of my clothes are from Target, J crew, Banana or Macys, oh yeah and Old Navy. I am picky about how they fit, but won't pay full price for anything.

    Favorite dessert?
Brownies + Homemade = no self control whatsoever.

    Lucky number?
         I don't have one. Weird??
