<div>For my something old, I'll probably wear earrings that belonged to my great, great, great grandmother.  They are gold and dangly and very ornate.  I only break them out for SPECIAL occasions.</div><div>
</div><div>Something new will be my dress.</div><div>
    </div><div>Something borrowed...I have no idea.</div><div>
</div><div>Something blue I think I'll make my shoes...or maybe my underwear depending on how thick my dress is and if it would show.</div>

I probably won't do that tradition only because it will most likely slip my mind.

The only thing I know I want to use as my something "borrowed" is my grandmother's emerald ring. I'm getting married in December and just think it would be pretty.

Haven't thought of the other things yet, but my best friend's mom gave me a sixpence for my shoe when I got engaged, so I've got that. I just have to keep up with it.... :)

Something old: Grandma's diamond and pearl brooch that my grandpa bought her in Japan in 1944.
    Something new: Dress
Something borrowed: my 'old' now belongs to my mom, so I will be borrowing it from her
Something blue:  I'll probably do blue undies or a garter.

I have always thought I would wear one of my mom's sapphire pieces as my borrowed & blue. Her e-ring is a sapphire, but she also has a couple sapphire channel bands that are gorgeous. My sister wore one of the bands, so I think it could be a nice tradition to start. (although they're yellow gold, and I'm totally a white metal kind of girl)

Other than that, I haven't given it any thought because I'm not engaged ;)

Not engaged, but if I had to pick tommorow:

Something Old: A note my Papa wrote me.  It will be in my bouquet.
    Something New: Dress I guess
Something borrowed: Mom's pearl necklace that Dad bought her in Japan when I was little.
    Something Blue: Shoes?

Something Old - a lace butterfly of my grandmothers that I'm having sewn into my dress.

Something New - my dress, veil, etc.

Something Borrowed - one of my grandmother's handkerchiefs

Something Blue - I'm having my BP and both moms sign the bottom of my shoes in blue permanent marker.

And yes, I have a sixpence for my shoe. :)

That's a good idea too.  I was already planning on having the BP sign the bottom of my shoes, but it kills two birds with one stone to have them sign in blue :)

Old - my diamond necklace that was my grandma's engagement ring (my grandpa had it turned into a necklace when he got her a new set of rings for their 15th anniversary).

New - my dress, my hair clip and the bracelet on my right wrist a friend of mine made for me.

Borrowed - the bracelet on my left wrist - one of my BM's wore it in her wedding 2 years ago (and neat fact with her - her anniversary is 2 days after my wedding)

Blue - still working on it - either undies, shoes (since apparently white flats in a 9 1/2 W are practically impossible to find, I may have to go with navy) or a ribbon/bow tied to the lace up ribbon on the back of my dress

We're doing our own spin on the penny/six pence in my shoe...we're going to do six cents - I have a penny from the year I was born and nickel from the year FI was born - I'll wear one in each shoe

    My wedding's not til 2013 O_o

The only thing I have in mind for that is my something "old" will probably be a silver bracelet that belonged to my father. He always wore it and when he died my mom gave it to me, and I had it resized. So I can honor my dad in a subtle way and have a "something old".

I've never heard of having the bridal party sign the bottom of the shoes. That's very cute =)

Something old: my old veil - I love it and I don't want to buy another one

Something new: a diamond drop necklace I intend on purchasing

Something borrowed: I'm not sure yet - still trying to figure that out.

Something blue: my garter belt and my blue ring given to me by my mother
