Jilted?

Anyone watch/watching tonight?

It's a new show on We where the woman proposes to the man... the wedding is already planned... and he has a week to decide.  He lets her know his decision AT THE WEDDING in front of her and their friends & family...

Uhhh BSC much?  This show is crazy.

I just want to make it clear that I'm totally NOT against the woman proposing.

    This show is just crazy.

Sea  - Is it a new sister wives or was it a re-run? I was following that show. It sounds interesting.

As far is for Jilted. I think I vaguely recall seeing previews for it. Sounds mildly interesting - in a potential train wreck sort of way. I would watch at least one episode.

I caught some bits and pieces as I was flipping between Giants-Eagles and Jilted.  I love watching crazy people, it makes me feel sane!  The whole premise was kind of absurd, so I think watching takes a certain suspension of disbelief.  I can't believe that there are that many women who want their pretty princess days so badly that they will strong-arm their partners into marriage!

I was kind of annoyed about the bit about the pre-nup.  You can't sign it right before the wedding and have it be valid, it will get thrown out in court as being signed under duress.  Besides, their disagreement over it showed a major difference in attitudes towards money.  This would be a huge red flag for me.

Schrodinger: Look who knows her legal stuff! Very impressive. What do you do?

Loopy: I honestly don't know. This was the first time I have seen it. It was the episode where they new wife and the husband are on their 11 day honeymoon and all of the old wives are annoyed. I used to watch Big Love for the first few seasons. This was before I had tivo so I couldn't keep up.

<div>Chemical engineer, although I love researching legal issues when they apply to me.  When I had some landlord issues, I spent a few hours looking into tenant law and kept myself from getting screwed out of my security deposit.  My BF and I have discussed pre-nups, so I've done some research.</div>

    This show is horrifying.

    *spoilers warning*

The first woman was completely BSC. Her boyfriend wants to wait until they are more financially stable and ready to be married before actually getting married. She's sitting there crying to her... mom, was it?... about how, "we're never going to be ready, we might as well get married now" or some crap like that. I thought the show was awful, right up there with that much anticipated bridal plastic surgery show.

Good for you! It is important to know how to do that kind of research and find out what your rights are. Did you get to keep your security deposit?

I asked BF last night what he would do if I proposed and gave him 4 days to decide. He said he wouldn't be mad so long as I had picked a weekend where we had a school break! I told him he was the BSC one lol

I'm not huge on wedding shows (probably cause my BF would just laugh at me for watching them...and they don't have any mystery like CSI or anything...) but Jilted sounds like a trainwreck in a 16 and pregnant way.  I may watch an episode or two while the BF is at work (and I'm not - I <3 Thanksgiving Break) before Wed (when we leave for Turkey day!!!)
I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

Yikes! I hadn't heard about it, but definitely NOT something I'd be watching. That's just too full of crazy for me, and I don't forsee happy, healthy marriages for people who feel they need to do this.

I agree with pretty much everyone on here, all though this show maybe fun to watch, and i plan on cathching a few episodes, this is just ridiculous to do to another person. If you feel that you have to force marrige that is not a good fondation to start on....every woman has her insecure i am never going to get married moments , but why have them end like this?
Shine let them wonder what you've got let them wish that they were not on the outside looking in.

Ugh, I cannot handle watching that much BSC.  (It's a ridiculous concept, too).  This is why I don't watch shows like Jersey Shore...

Honestly, I think shows that make entertainment out of other people's craziness or stupidity or unusual lifestyles are disturbing. Pretty much anything from jersey shore to jon and kate plus eight....just so not my thing.
