Not Engaged Yet

The things he does...

I'm working in the office and I walk out to the living room and find my BF engaged in his new hobby: amateur radio.

He has all of our cookie sheets, muffin tins, etc. spread around him with various antennas on them, with his radio on the end table and he's sitting indian style in front of it listening to some guy in Idaho, lol. He is so much like a little kid sometimes, but it's cute, lol. He caught me giggling at him and gave me a sheepish look because he's still getting used to doing things that he wants to do without worrying about pleasing everyone (his mom) first, but he is definitely having a blast doing all this stuff, lol.

What do you find your SO doing that is silly/strange, but cute?

That's really funny. I giggled too, as I imagined BF doing something similar.

One night I got home late from class to find BF lounging on the couch with the cats and 3 pairs of socks on the coffee table. BF decided he wanted to learn how to juggle that night, and he thought socks would be a good thing to use. He demonstrated his awesome new-found juggling skills for me. He decided that it was probably because the socks are not equal in size or shape that he was having trouble, so off he went to find 3 matching balls (which we do not have). He's given it a try a few other times since then with various throwable objects, but I don't think the hobby will ever really take off.

He also ties a shoelace to the back of his jeans and runs around the house with it (like a tail). The cats LOVE it and chase him around. He'll usually leave it on for a while as he does household chores, like dishes, and the cats usually just follow him and sit behind him wherever he goes until he takes it off. I love it. I think it's hilarious.

Hahaha, that's hilarious! Our BFs must be similar because I could definitely see mine doing that too if we had a cat, lol.

Also, bean bags work great for learning to juggle. Balls are hard to catch, but you can get bean bags more easily with just a couple fingers. Also, they don't go rolling all around when you drop them, they don't hurt, and they're easy to make.

Aw cute :)  Well my Fi is a nerd so almost anything he does is cute :)

You know you are marrying an engineer when he finally doesn't have any homework he wants to build a Stirling engine.  Google it.  He has been thinking about it for days trying to get it to work.

He also yo-yos.  And he is really good.  He is so funny he wants to take a picture of him doing a yo-yo trick every time we go some place special. He says he can't wait to go to Paris so he can throw up an Eifel Tower in front of the Eifel Tower....  Sigh it is cute though.  I have to say I adore him.

BF is a video game geek. Recently he's been playing Kill Zone 3, because his bro, sis and bro in law all play online. So he plays on a squad with them, the bad part is that they are all in Japan, so they're 13 hours ahead of us. This means that he plays at odd times., like 7:30 on Saturday morning. He got so excited to 'hang out' with his siblings that its hard to be annoyed by the noise he makes :)

He also has these funny voices for each of our cats, and uses them to talk for them, whats even funnier that I will respond to the 'cat' and we will have a whole conversation. Very lame I know, but I think its cute :)

Oh & to answer your question - SO is a musician, but not a particular genre, he's been in a bunch of very different bands. Some of them I love, some... not so much. He gets embarrassed when he does silly rap songs on the ipad, he'll literally sit in the car in our apartment parking lot for an hour to record his music since if he does it inside I can hear :P

And yes, he does come in and he'll kinda get a bit sheepish but he's too excited to contain himself and he'll be like, "I just talked to a guy in California/Idaho/Australia!" .. and that's literally all he came in to tell me, lol.
