I'm already stalking your planning bio, and I noticed that you're still looking for a photographer in Hawaii.  Not sure what island she lives on, but a girl I went to high school with is an absolutely incredible photographer and is starting up a wedding business in Hawaii.  Worth a shot, no?

Me too... I can tell the difference in style, but not much more than that.  I'm sure I'll just narrow it down and then hand the choices over to my photog friend.  Let him pick  the final 3 for me to choose from.

We have short listed 3. I've corresponded with all via email but only one on the phone. FI really likes one but there style is really sophisticated and dramatic. I don't question that he is an amazing photographer, bu whether or not he is our style.  The other two give me a much better vibe. I think FI sort of understands where I am coming from.

Ugh, we're down to 2, but I'm starting to think I should start from scratch.  But I'm only going to find what I found before - that I have very expensive taste!  Blame it on too many years of art classes and learning about composition and balance, and an appreciation for Ansel Adams and Annie Leibovitz.  The one I like who is within our budget has beautiful photos but the vibe I've gotten isn't great.  Not sure... so indecisive!

I've told my guy that he has to be the tie breaker - he doesn't care at all about the specifics, except the menu and ceremony, but he now knows that his job is to break my indecisiveness and make executive decisions.  I think he likes his new job!

Thanks Calindi, yeah I post regulary over on the Hawaii locals board.  That Hawaii vendors bio was so helpful when I first started to plan.  Literally there are a LOT of vendors.  :-)

Just a little advice . . . make sure you meet with them in person. I feel like my photog and I could be friends and hang out. We clicked like whoa, and we're totally splurging on her services because of it
