Christmas Eve Menu

My mom hosts Christmas Eve at her house, and this year she asked me to help her cook for it. We are doing mostly finger foods and appetizers, so that people have a lot of variety. She has quite a few things that she always makes (meatballs, pepperoni bread, etc.), so these are the items I was planning to add to the menu.

I don't think I can swing all of them, so I was wondering which ones would get the highest votes and go from there :) In addition to these I will be making my Oreo truffles and those amazing apple pie cookies.

Thanks ladies!!

[QUOTE]I voted beef skewers and it's mainly because I am addicted to horseradish. They all sound wonderful!  I would also recommend doing a veggie thing without a fattening sauce if you have health-conscious guests...I know most of those foods would not be good for me to eat, though they would be delicious!

Yea, my mom has a lot of veggie platters and healthier things she is doing, which is why I added some fattier things :) I should probably have mentioned that!
  • I'm going to vote on both polls. :) So I can vote for my first and second favorite.
I LOVE bruschetta- so I voted for that...

    And...I like the soup!

  • I vote cheese. Anything with cheese. Except the weird pistachio cheese. That's actually the only thing that doesn't appeal to me.
  • Oh, and can I crash the party? Puhlease? I'll help do dishes. FOOD!
  • I voted for the fig and goat cheese in phyllo cups. NOM! Had something similar at my friend's wedding earlier this year, but it was with marscapone I think. It sounds super yummy. My second vote would be for the tomato/mozz bruschetta and third vote would be the soup shooters. Uh, so you wanna like cater for me? No special occasion, just be my personal little chef. I'll pay you in laughs.

  • I voted for the fig, proscciuto, & goat cheese flatbread.

My mouth is watering.  If I show up on Christmas Eve please feed me.

  • I'm a sucker for any kind of artichoke or spinach dip. Yum yum!

  • The bruscetta sounds amazingggg but I'm mildly obsessed with fresh mozzarella. :)

  • That soup sounds delish!  Plus, it is something different that people might not expect.

  • Hahaha thanks ladies!

I am certainly available for personal catering - all I require is air fare and hugs :)

I will feed anyone who shows up on Christmas Eve :)

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • These all sound great! My vote was for the spinach and artichoke dip. Dips are just fun and easy and they encourage mingling, but they are easy and relatively unmeasy.

But I also would vote for the bruschetta. YUMMMM!!! I just love bruschetta so I had to mention that!
  • You had me at Garlic-whatever, lol.
