    Dear Mexico, I love you and your all-inclusive resorts. Can I stay here forever? Love, Girl who's on her 5th mojito of the day I have nothing to rant about. It's warm, I'm sunburned, buzzed, and don't give a damn about anything north of the border at the moment :)

    [QUOTE]Dear Spiders in my home,  Please go away. I do not know why you are invading my house, but I would love it if you would kindly go away and die. I do not appreciate you appearing on the washing machine lid just as I reach for it and I really do not appreciate you dropping into the bath tub as I'm in it soaking away snowboard-induced soreness. You made me jump out and scream like a little girl... so not cool of you. I wish I could feel sorry for you when you drown, but I can't... Thanks,  the girl who wishes you all would crawl away and die

    Can you CC the spiders in my parents' house? Those freaks need to find a new home. Thanks!

    Raven - I am in my second semester...I may PM you here in a bit, I'm about to start my homework...

    Elle - I *get* the mechanisms.  That's not the hard part for me.  I understand resonance and I understand how the reaction pushes electrons.  I also really get MO theory.  That was AWESOME.  If the entire second semester could be MO theory, I'd get an A no problem.  I have a really hard time with predict the product, which is now the majority of our tests...

    ETA - Congrats on your promotion Molly!  That's awesome!

    Dear Molecular Biology PhDs and Post-Docs;

    Please stop applying for entry-level jobs.  I know the market sucks royal ass, but there are jobs available to you that those of us with a lowly masters or BS really aren't qualified for, and I'm sick of being told that it's not worth applying because there are so many over-qualified candidates.  I can't even get into the good PhD programs because I can't get any more work experience and the techniques I have experience with are already outdated.

    Thanks,
    Girl who's applying to PhD programs for the $20k a year stipend

    Dear Horse "Breeders";

    STOP BREEDING FOR A COUPLE YEARS, OKAY?  We get 2-6 calls a week from people with decent horses that they can't keep because they've lost their jobs and feed prices are soaring.  We've been at max capacity for months, we can't take any more horses in and are, for the first time in our 18 year history, having to consider offering low-cost or free euthanasia on a large scale to keep these horses from going to slaughter.  I saw a mare that I LOVE in a kill pen today and I couldn't do a damn thing about it, and if you have any love for horses you'll understand just how frustrating and painful that was.  To make matters worse, I'm driving across states again tomorrow to see if we can help with livestock seized from yet another "rescue" (goddamn hoarders) and I know it's not going to end well for anyone up there.

    Thanks for gelding,
    A reputable horse rescuer
